Laura Woods has brilliant new ‘moist’ nickname for Ally McCoist after studio accident
Laura Woods attributed a brand new nickname to broadcast partner in crime Ally McCoist after he spilled an entire latte on himself.
The talkSPORT and Sky Sports news star has formed the perfect double act with the former Rangers manager. They are often one of the first voices everybody hears in the early hours of the morning on their way to work.
Unfortunately, on this occasion, the beloved Scotsman had a hot shocker, just before he was due to go out on air. And, just as you would expect, Woods took full advantage of his misfortune.

McCoist spilled an entire latte over his lap a matter of moments before he was supposed to go on air. While the coffee may not have been boiling hot, it did leave him with a very unavoidable milky stain on his lap.
Of course, Woods found the whole situation hilarious. As any good friend would do, Woods whipped out her phone, hit record, and captured McCoist’s despondent reaction.

“Oh Ally, that was an entire Latte,” she said to him. The evidently disappointed Scotsman then replied, “and you know something, I was really enjoying it”.
She captioned the video of his reaction with the hashtag “Ally McMoist”. As you would expect, the football world had a little chuckle at McCoist’s expense. “Laura Woods sounding like Ally’s Mum,” one fan wrote on social media.
“No way in a crisis does he say one of his famous sayings ‘do you know something’,” another added, with plenty of laughing face emojis. One other fan also said, “it’s like looking after your Grandad Woodsy lol. Saying that Ally, we have all been there.”
Woods did go on to ask Ally for another latte, to which, it can be assumed he gladly accepted. It was 5.58am in the morning and they were due to go on air in less than two minutes. However, a hot latte spilled on your lap may be more of a wake up call than all the strongest coffees put together – as long as you don’t spill those as well.
