Rahul Kohli Shows Support For Moses Ingram Amid Star Wars Fan Backlash

Rahul Kohli is continuing to show his support for "Star Wars" actress Moses Ingram amid "racist" fan backlash.

Actor Rahul Kohli calls it as he sees it.

The “Midnight Mass” actor previously criticized the backlash that actress Moses Ingram has faced for her role as Force Sensitive Inquisitor Reva in the new Disney+ series “Obi-Wan Kenobi.”

The official Star Wars Twitter account has also taken a stand against the harassment that she’s receiving, but many are saying it’s too little too late after they failed to take a stand against the racism that John Boyega and Kelly Marie Tran faced during the sequel trilogy.

That being said, Rahul isn’t done taking a stand against trolls and has no problem calling them out.

It seems that this might be the final word that the “iZombie” actor has on the matter. He tweeted, “Not gonna clog up my timeline broadly discussing Hollywood and diversity. The main story is powerful enough. Emmy nominated, Yale educated, woman of colour, Moses Ingram isn’t good or qualified enough for Star Wars ‘fans’.”

He added, “She’s black. You’re racist. There isn’t any nuance.”

Now if you want the harsh truth, the lead roles are usually set aside for white actors and the supporting cast are padded out with poc to appear progressive. We’re still filling a quota and are used as a way to appear progressive while rarely getting the meatier stuff.

“The Haunting Of Bly Manor” actor had posted a lengthy Twitter thread earlier in the day that discussing racism in Hollywood, although he later deleted most of his tweets and left only two standing.
