High-tech 3D printers have become increasingly popular in recent years as they can be used to make everything from tools to toys.

In fact, some of the machines have even been used to make 3D printed food.

But, now, 3D printers are being used on a bigger scale as the first 3D printed hotel is set to open.

It will be based in the unusual desert city of Marfa – where people claim they see alien lights multiple times per year.

Created using several massive 3D printed buildings the resort will also have an infinity pool, spa and artists studio.

Anyone wanting to stay will be blown away by the surrounding desert and glittering night skies which inspired the hotel.

Renderings of the hotel show wide rooms attached together by courtyards with a gorgeous patio covered in ivy.

It looks as though it will blend in naturally with the surrounding Texas desert.
