Adrienne Bailon Laments About Juggling Intimate Moments With Motherhood

In a heart-to-heart discussion with PageSix, the Grammy nominee opened up about motherhood’s best and worst aspects. Before mentioning the good, the New Yorker cried over the bad, especially the struggle to satisfy her sexual needs.

According to “The Real” alum, the most taxing part of being a parent was making love in her son’s presence. The TV personality confessed that while Ever slept, she got down and dirty with Houghton.

“The worst thing about motherhood would be getting it on with a sleeping baby in the room, but you just make it happen,” the 39-year-old revealed, noting that the situation was far from ideal. “It was fun at first… but now you’re like, ‘OK, this gets awkward,'” the former television show co-host continued. “My son is seven months old. We are close sleepers here, so sometimes I just put the baby in the crib, and then it’s quiet time.”

Although the adorable baby got in the way of his parents’ intimate sessions, Bailon did not seem to mind, as motherhood came with fantastic experiences. “The best thing about motherhood is seeing the world through my child’s eyes,” the Daytime Emmy Award gushed.

“I feel like even though I am going to be 40 this year, I am zero years old because I have these new experiences with my child now,” the entertainer explained, stating that Ever’s development amazed her.

“Just the smallest things that he discovers — from his toes to a toy — I am in awe of watching him grow up,” the proud mother said. Additionally, Bailon’s interview covered her emotional IVF journey before her son’s arrival in August 2022.

Describing the experience as one of the “hardest times” of her life, the 39-year-old admitted receiving hormone shots for six years, among other procedures. These treatments led to a weight gain that fans assumed was a bun in the oven.

In the TV personality’s words: “When I was on ‘The Real,’ people would write in the comments on the page like, ‘Oh, she’s pregnant. I can see her face is full or her stomach is bloated. I think she’s pregnant,’ and that was hard.”

The changes Bailon endured also increased her insecurities, and for the longest time, the entertainer felt like she could not appear in public. “I just wasn’t feeling my best, and I feel like I was already going through so much with my emotional level, so to be criticized physically did not help,” the New Yorker confessed.
