Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea May Appear In Upcoming ‘Star Wars’ Series
Rumor has it that Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers will be appearing in the upcoming "Star Wars" series "Obi-Wan Kenobi."

Fans of Star Wars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers have good reason to be excited!

According to Star Wars News Net, Flea will have a role in the upcoming Disney+ live-action series, “Obi-Wan Kenobi.”

It’s currently unclear what kind of role Flea will play, but it was reported that Flea will “be wielding a cool-looking blaster.”

As Guitar World noted, Flea does have close ties to “Obi-Wan Kenobi” director Deborah Chow, who directed the Red Hot Chili Pepper’s “Black Summer” music video that was released last February.

Although there was new footage of the show released for Star Wars Day on May 4, Flea did not appear in the trailer, which means that fans are going to have to wait until the series premieres on May 27 to see if Flea really does make an appearance.

Some fans have cast doubt on the rumors since Harrison Ford was rumored to have filmed a part as a de-aged Han Solo for “The Book of Boba Fett,” but he never appeared. That being said, Thundercat did make a brief appearance in that Disney+ series, so anything is possible.

Flea has also spent time acting in front of the camera before. The Red Hot Chili Pepper’s bassist has had cameos in “Baby Driver,” “The Big Lebowski,” and the second and third films in the “Back to the Future” franchise.

So it’s definitely possible that Flea will appear in “Obi-Wan Kenobi.” Fans are just hoping that he has more than a blink-and-you-miss-it moment!

Earlier this week, the world celebrated Star Wars Day, also known as May the Fourth Be With You. To celebrate the occasion, Disney dropped a new look of the “Obi-Wan Kenobi” trailer, which featured fans’ first glimpse of Darth Vader.

The latest “Star Wars” live-action series was supposed to debut on May 25 to mark the 45th anniversary of “A New Hope,” the very first “Star Wars” movie that came out on May 25, 1977. However, the premiere was delayed by two days to coincide with the annual Star Wars Celebration fan event, which takes in Anaheim, California this year.

The new look at the “Obi-Wan Kenobi” gave fans a look at the two new villains of the series, the Grand Inquisitor and a Force-sensitive inquisitor named Reva, played by “The Queen’s Gambit” star Moses Ingram.

There are also several shots of Obi-Wan Kenobi; Ewan McGregor has reprised his role from the prequel series. Hayden Christensen has also reprised his role as Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker for this series and the upcoming “Ahsoka” series, which is scheduled to be released sometime in 2023.

Both McGregor and Christensen sat down with Entertainment Weekly to discuss the upcoming series. The “Halston” actor said that Chow “is unbelievable” and explained that she worked to bridge the gap between the prequel and original trilogies.

“For her, in the pre-production process, making all of that work and taking things that were said on the set in 1975 and trying to link it into what we said in 2003 and making it all work — it’s a really interesting prospect, and they did such an amazing job with it,” he explained.

He also said that it was fantastic working with her on set and was impressed by her knowledge of the galaxy far, far away.

“What an amazing director and what an amazing leader for us in the show,” he continued. “It’s so great working with her. Just so exciting. She has got such quiet authority and she’s really, really on it. She really knows this world backwards and inside out, and there was never a moment where she didn’t know exactly what was going on, what she wanted, what she needed. It was brilliant working with her.”

“Obi-Wan Kenobi” will be released exclusively on Disney+ on May 27.
