According to multiple news outlets in the Orlando area, the attraction is being closed down to make way for new experiences.

If you didn’t know, the “Poseidon’s Fury” venue is located between Seuss Landing and Hogsmeade.

“Poseidon’s Fury” is a 20-minute walk-through experience, where you “follow an archeologist guide and venture through the ruins of the ancient Temple of Poseidon, Greek god of the sea. But once you’ve journeyed far beneath the ocean, you’re caught in a colossal battle between Poseidon and the evil Lord Darkennon. Fireballs burst, lasers flash, and water erupts around you in this spectacular special effects experience.”

The show features four types of lasers, flame effects and water effects.

No word yet on what new experiences will be taking it’s place.

Just about six months ago, it was revealed that five other attractions were closing in January 2023, and it was later announced that Minion Land and the attraction “Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast” will be taking over that space.

Attractions that still remain in Universal’s Islands of Adventure include “Jurassic Park River Adventure,” “Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure,” “Jurassic World VelociCoaster,” “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey,” “Doctor Doom’s Fearfall,” “Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls” and “The Incredible Hulk Coaster.”
