In 2008, Travis Barker and his friend and longtime collaborator, Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein, were the only two people to survive after their private jet crashed during takeoff at an airport in South Carolina.

Disney+ / HuluAt the start of the doc, Kourtney explained that she, Travis, and their respective kids flew to Portofino a few days before the festivities were set to commence so that they could enjoy some time to settle in.

My plane crashed on takeoff, so takeoffs are terrible for me,” he said. “I’m still equally afraid of flying as I always was, but it’s not something that can hold me back or I can be afraid of anymore. But, yeah. I’m getting better.”
Disney+ / HuluAnd while Travis’s journey to Italy was fairly straightforward, he revealed that things weren’t quite so simple for his son, Landon, 19, whose fear of flying is so bad that he almost wasn’t able to make it for the wedding.
Gregg Deguire / FilmMagic“We didn’t know if Landon was gonna make it because he’s so afraid of flying. I think he walked off two commercial flights,” Travis said, recalling the wedding. “When we saw him, I was so happy.”
Disney+ / HuluWhen Travis and Landon were eventually reunited on the family’s superyacht, the two sat down together for a debrief, with Landon admitting that “the scariest part was just landing and taking off.”
