‘Beef’ Actor David Choe’s Rape Comments Resurface, Netflix Show Faces Boycott

People are calling for a boycott of the Netflix series Beef after actor David Choe’s comments about his “rapey” behavior resurfaced online.

The 46-year-old artist and former podcast host plays Isaac on the show and he made the comments on his podcast DVDASA back in 2014.

On the podcast, David talked about his experience getting a massage from a woman named Rose and he seemingly claimed to sexually assault her.

“I just take her hand and I put it on my dick, and she just holds it there,” David said. He said that the masseuse didn’t seem to enjoy it, but continued going along with it.

When David wasn’t pleased by what Rose was doing, he asked her to spit on him, but she wouldn’t. He then asked her to kiss his member, but she wouldn’t.

“I take the back of her head and I push it down on my dick, and she doesn’t do it, and then I go, ‘Open your mouth, open your mouth,’ and she does it,” he said. “And then I start face-f**king her.”

David’s co-host Asa Akira replied, “You raped.”

BuzzFeed reports that he added, “I just want to make it clear that I admit that that’s rapey behavior. But I am not a rapist. With the rape stuff… I mean, I would have been in a lot of trouble right now if I put her hand on my dick and she’s like, ‘F**king stop I’m gonna go call security.’ That would have been a much different story. But the thrill of possibly going to jail, that’s what achieved the erection quest.

After the podcast got backlash nearly a decade ago, David claimed that he creates stories on his podcast. “I’m sorry if anyone believed that the stories were fact. They were not!” he said.

David is reportedly attempting to get clips removed from social media, claiming he owns copyright to the podcast.
