The “Ice Loves Coco” alum, 44, recently shared a dance video she and her daughter made to Instagram, and some fans were quick to call her out on it, as they claimed that it was “inappropriate.”
“Chanel always makes me do these weird dances; I just go with it,” Austin captioned the Instagram video of them dancing. “I stole this from her phone to show you. Lol. #mommydaughter #dynamicduo.”
In matching white and black outfits, the mother and daughter danced to the Black Eyed Peas “Boom Boom Pow” remix.
Austin lifted her leg toward Chanel in the video during one of their choreographed steps, and Chanel then attempted to smack her mother twice on the butt.
As a result, fans took to social media to express their mixed feelings about the video, which has already received over 40,000 likes on Instagram. Many fans shared that the dance routine was “inappropriate” for Chanel, but others felt it was harmless and just an adorable mother-daughter experience.

The “Southwest Babes” actress has previously faced criticism from fans for her parenting methods after posting a video clip of Chanel “twerking” in Christmas pajamas. Austin explained that she and her relatives were “in the middle of” filming a TikTok video in her front yard when Chanel ran out ‘to bust a move and make [them] laugh.’
In another controversial video, Austin was seen bathing Chanel in a kitchen sink as she stared at her iPad. At the time, she took to Twitter to address the backlash from fans and defend her “unconventional” parenting style.
“Wow, just wow! Here we go again!” she wrote. “Bathing my lil girl in the sink went viral? SMH! She continued, “People, you gotta know by now that I’m an unconventional mother. I do what works and is easier on me. Some may want to take some pointers rather than rag on me!”
Coco Austin’s Husband Reveals If They’ll Have More Kids
According to E! News, Austin’s husband, Ice-T, opened up about whether or not they would be expanding their family beyond just Chanel. The rapper confirmed that he and his wife would not have another child. “Chanel fills up the room,” he told the news outlet last March. “One and done.”
The “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” star also mentioned that his age was a factor in deciding. “I had Chanel when I was 57,” he said. “So I’m 65.”
In another chat with E! News, Ice-T talked about the secret to his long-lasting marriage to the model, noting that sex played a pivotal role.
