Falling in love while locked in a confined space, watched and criticized by millions of people daily is already one hell of a challenge. But the real challenge is to survive the adjustment of real life when it hits, and to understand if the love these couples built was a product of the environment they were put in, or if it was one of those times when all the stars aligned and they got to meet their soulmate.
These couples in particular worked through distance, different continents, the pressure of fans, media headlines, battles against the haters, all the way through to their happy ending:
1. Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey (Love Island Season 2)
When you win a show like Love Island all eyes are on you, and one thing Cara and Nathan taught us was to believe in love. Not only are they still together after all these years, but their relationship has also gone from strength to strength. Since winning Love Island, the couple have gone on to get married and have two children.
2. Trista Sutter and Ryan Sutter (The Bachelorette Season 1)
The OG Bachelorette couple defied the odds since the beginning and they’re now celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary. Two decades later and these two seem stronger and healthier than ever, continuing to set the bar for everyone in the upcoming seasons.
3. Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo (Made in Chelsea Season 2)
I’m proud to say that THESE TWO JUST GOT MARRIED! After going through their ups and downs, the couple not only only found their way back to each other, but also recently got their happy ending by getting married in an intimate ceremony.
4. Tommy Fury and Molly Mae (Love Island Season 5)

6. Paula Amorim and Breno Simões (Big Brother Brazil Season 18)
Together since 2018, this Brazilian couple had the beginning of their journey be put through a test inside the reality show. But after five years they were able to pull through and build a family, which grew bigger last year after having their first son, Theo.
7. Ethan Diamond and Amber Lee (You Are The One Season 1)
These two are considered one of the show’s most successful love connections. Amber and Ethan fell for each other during filming and have been together since the very first season of the show. Ethan later proposed during the reunion special, which aired back in March 2014. They tied the knot in September of that same year and later had their daughters Scarlett and Serena.
8. Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon (Bachelor in Paradise Season 5)
This couple is a win for the slow burns. Their journey was filled with ups and downs, but eventually they grew stronger and found their way back to each other. THe couple got married in August 2019, years after first meeting on Bachelor in Paradise, and are now parents to their son Dawson.
9. Liliana Filipa and Daniel Gregório (Secret Story Portugal Season 5)
When they first met, they were just two very young adults who fell instantly. No one believed in them and were quick on putting an expiration date on their relationship. After nine years together and two kids, they have proven to be one of the most healthy, successful, and loving couples to come out of Portuguese reality shows.
10. Ekin Su and Davide Sanclimenti (Love Island Season 8)
The enemies-to-lovers duo who got their happy ending. From, “You’re a liar. Actress.” to winning Love Island, this couple has proven to everyone that it’s not about how it begins, it’s about how it ends. And they definitely got their happy ending!
11. Mariano and Jakelyne Oliveira (Fazenda Season 12)
From the start, their connection was obvious, but it took a while until they gave in to their feelings. Once they did, they became unstoppable and have been together and in love since 2020.
12. Bruna Gomes and Bernardo Sousa (Big Brother Portugal Season 13)
You could sell their love story to Netflix and make it a rom-com. Being from two different continents and surviving two reality shows together, their relationship went through the biggest of tests right at the beginning. One year later and after moving in together, these two have proven that love can really move mountains, oceans, and different time zones.
13. Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page (Love Island Season 8)
After the “or whatever” epic moment on Love Island, no one really took them seriously as a couple. They were young and from different parts of the country, so according to the public, they were bound to fail. But they didn’t. 14. Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope (Love Island Season 8)

16. Sierra Dawn Thomas and Joe Anglim (Survivor Season 30)
They have no one, not two, not three, but four daughter together and returning for another shot at winning the title of Sole Survivor on Season 40. The couple got married in 2015 after getting engaged on the Season 2 finale of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars. Ever since, their family and happiness continues to grow.
17. And Cameron Holmes and Emily Miller (Too Hot to Handle Season 2)
The journey hasn’t been smooth for this couple, but eventually they found their way back to each other and seem to be stronger than ever.
