Jesy Nelson has had it with the latest false narrative about her.

“Bad Thing” dropped to major fanfare on Friday, April 14th.

Unlike the adverse reactions to her solo EP, “Boyz,” Nelson’s fanbase loved her new song.

Sadly, the good times for Nelson stopped soon after “Bad Thing’s” release.

Earlier this week, she was interviewed by The Sun and asked about the last time she spoke to her three former bandmates that formed the rest of Little Mix.

Nelson admitted it’d been two years since she’s spoken to Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall, and Perrie Edwards.

The British singer unexpectedly left the girl group in 2020, citing mental health as her reason for leaving; however, a few months after leaving the group, she announced the launch of her solo career.

“For me, my mental health issues were an ongoing thing while I was in Little Mix. I was struggling with my body issues, constantly being trolled… and struggling with it,” she told the outlet. “For me personally, by the end, I couldn’t enjoy the good parts, and it’s a shame as I had the most amazing times in Little Mix, but I will say this always, your mental health is the most important thing, and you only live once so sometimes you have to stop and look after yourself.”

The internet became fixated on Nelson’s admission of how long it’s been since she spoke to the remaining members of Little Mix, and Nelson decided to speak out against the backlash.

Jesy Hits Back At The SUN & Other Media Outlets Pitting Her Against LM

“Today, I woke up to about 20-f**king-five articles about me, the fact that I haven’t spoken to Little Mix in two years, and the ongoing feud,” she began her Instagram Story. “Anyways, what’s f**king s**t about this music industry is that when you’re going to do an interview and you think you’re going to be talking about your music and the video, and talking about something important to you that went on in your life and happened to women around you, domestic violence, which is what my music video was about… it’s S**T to get asked a question about Little Mix.”

Nelson noted that questions about the band that shot her to stardom are “inevitable,” given she was in the bar for a decade.

“Naturally, people awill be curious about whether we arestill speaking. I said, ‘No, we haven’t spoken for two years, but I honestly wish them all the best.’ We’re all in our solo journeys; it’s such an exciting time for us right now, and yeah,” she continued. “Honestly, that was all I said. That one, ‘No, we haven’t spoken for two years,’ then gets put in every single headline, on the front of the newspaper.”

She called it “f**king bulls**t” and called it “disgusting.”

“I feel like women get pitted against each other 24/7 in music, and I hate it. I think it’s disgusting,” Nelson admitted.

Fans came to her defense on Twitter.

“Honestly, I’m heartbroken for her. This s**t needs to stop. Just look behind her… the little mix stuff. She never hated them,” one fan wrote.

“it’s so disgusting she had to do this; it’s been three years since everything happened, and you all kept twisting her words. You all run to defend other people’s mental health, but when it comes to Jesy Nelson,, it doesn’t apply? I hate society and you all fake activism,” another lamented.
