Iggy Azalea has not realized her feelings about her son, Onyx Kelly, ‘s upcoming birthday.
Fans were given the update through the “Black Widow” rapper’s latest social media post on Wednesday morning. The artist, who shares the tot with Playboi Carti, announced his arrival in June 2020, birthing a dramatic reaction from fans since she and her baby daddy had split up the year before.

Even though Azalea has received no support from her baby daddy, she has continued to nurture their baby boy with love and affection. In an Instagram Story update, the doting mom drew fans’ attention to the two-year-old’s upcoming third birthday.
She uploaded a snapshot of what resembled an amateur painting decorated with an illustration reminiscent of Mickey Mouse, with Onyx taking his place in its middle. The lad is seen donning a ‘Spider-Man’ face mask and a gray shirt.
The artwork was placed on another cardboard with drawings of an octopus and three varieties of fish. The American Music Awards recipient wrote in the blue-themed text overlay, “My bestie is three next week & I already feel some type of way about it.”
While viewers are unsure if those feelings were nostalgic, they did know that Azalea was ecstatic when she shared a pic of her son on his first day as a preschooler with them earlier this month. In the image, Onyx looked as happy as a clam as he raised both hands gleefully and looked away from the camera.
His fashion choice for the big moment was a colorful two-piece that featured a baggy polo shirt and a pair of shorts. His school bag matched the bright theme, and even his braided hair was adorned with various beads.
The nearly three-year-old finished his look with squeaky white socks and matching sneakers. His beloved mom exclaimed, “My baby’s first day of preschool, and I just can’t take it.!!!” at the bottom of the post.
The Blast further noted that the BET Hip Hop Awards winner honored her son’s presence by getting his name inked on her body. The realistic tattoo, which Lua Hills did, depicted Onyx as an Angel with wings and a sash with “Onyx Orion” written out in bold letters around the sketch’s midsection.

Despite facing criticism from netizens about her tumultuous relationship with Carti, Azalea has maintained her silence and poise. However, she opted to the other extreme when she joined Emily Ratajkowski on her “High Low with EmRata” podcast to discuss some memorable moments from her life, including her reason for signing up for an “OnlyFans” account and motherhood, in February.
At some point, Ratajkowski brought up her love life, asking if she was dating anybody, to which the “XXXTRA” hitmaker responded, “No, not really. I dated a little bit last year, and it was fun. I’ve been single since early 2020. Right after I had my son, I left his father.”
Without going into deeper details, the 32-year-old Australian recalled her decision to end things with the “Vamp Anthem” rapper after “something” unfavorable transpired between them. In her words:
“It was just one of those moments where I didn’t wake up thinking this would be what my day would be. But by the end of the day, I was on my way to Los Angeles, and I never went back, and that was the end of it.”
After acknowledging that the relationship was volatile for her, the NME Award winner stated that it reminded her of a similar situation with her parents, and she wanted no part of it. Most importantly, the rapper wanted to protect Onyx from such hurtful acts because she did not want him to “ever learn this.”
Per The Blast, the “Fancy” artist had more than enough to say after reports of Carti’s arrest filled the internet. As it turned out, authorities apprehended the 26-year-old for allegedly choking his pregnant girlfriend during a heated altercation last December. In response to the allegations, Azalea tweeted:
“Imagine having a pregnant girlfriend and pretending they don’t exist until it comes out you like to abuse them too – & rarely visiting your actual son unless is because you’re running from whatever problems ya got going on in Atlanta & the press with your serial abuse of woman [sic].”
