This Morning viewers left raging over ‘pointless’ crisps segment
This Morning viewers were left raging at their TV screens after watching an “embarrassing” segment involving Alison Hammond.
Hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were back at the helm of the long-running ITV show on Thursday (April 27).
And for the latest instalment, the two hosts spoke to TV legend Alison Hammond, who was in Hull at an all-you-can-eat crisp buffet.

Appearing from the restaurant packed full of crisp boxes, Alison introduced viewers to the owner.
“Imagine every single crisp you love, retro crisps, now crisps, you name it – it’s all here,” Alison said.

But the segment didn’t go down too well with viewers at home, who rushed to Twitter to hit out at show bosses.
“What a pointless segment,” raged one person.
Another chimed in and added: “This is embarrassing. What a crock of sh**.”
“What the f**k is the point of this? What a ridiculous waste of time,” proclaimed a third person.
A fourth agreed: “This is entertainment????? Good god !!!”
Alison appeared in good spirits, and has seemed to brush off the recent uproar following her theatre remarks earlier this month.
The Brummie legend's comments didn't go down well with some people – so much so, that the remark was also slapped with several Ofcom complaints.
Alison herself addressed the comments and later issued an apology, telling fans on Twitter she was "truly sorry."
"After reflection and the comments I made on Wednesday’s show I want to apologise to anyone who I offended especially the incredibly talented theatre performers, who I have the utmost respect for," she wrote.
"I had no idea the level of disruption audiences were causing and tried to make light of the topic on Wednesday’s show, and for that I’m truly sorry.
"I am a great supporter of theatre and the arts and would never sing at the top of my lungs at any performance, I was wrong in what I said and I’ve given this a lot of thought over the past few days and believe I was wrong," she added.
