20 Coachella Performer Looks That Prove Weekend Two Is The Best Festival Weekend
Both weekends of the 2023 Coachella Arts and Music Festival are finally over, as southern California prepares for the festival’s country step-sibling, Stagecoach.
1. Christine and the Queens’ outfits changed with the vibes. He wore this vest with no shirt for songs like “True Love” and “Titled.”
And then he switched to these angelic wings and a long brooding black trench coat for a beautiful live version of his latest single, “To Be Honest.”
2. Before Bad Bunny hit the stage as the Friday night headliner, he popped out in a very creepy mask and cowboy hat combo to perform “Tormenta” for the first time with Damon Albarn.
For his actual performance, he returned halfway through his set in this tastefully revealing Mugler ensemble, which had the crowd screaming louder than the sound system.
3. The “Big Energy” rapper Latto shut down the light-filled Sahara tent in a cherry bustier, multi-colored jean skirt, and matching boots.
She performed all her hits, including her latest single, “Put It on Da Floor.”
4. GloRilla was eating them up with her early afternoon performance on the Coachella mainstage in her blinding metallic getup.
It was a big performance for GloRilla, who didn’t really blow up until last year with “F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” and “Tomorrow 2” with Cardi B.
5. Hong Kong–born K-pop star Jackson Wang skipped the pretty boy appearance for an edgy two-tone look from top to bottom.
He made history as one of the first Chinese artists to perform solo at the music festival.
6. Icelandic legend Björk is known for her attention to detail. This extraterrestrial blue dress was only one of her eccentric outfits for the evening.
She also wore this celestial look reminiscent of drones (flying above the stage) that took the audience to another world.
7. Australian rapper DPR Ian (real name Christian Yu) was dressed for the occasion in a full suit and sneakers, barely revealing his tatted chest.
It wasn’t long before the desert heat forced him to switch to his signature look, revealing his body art and neck tattoos to a roaring crowd.
8. Here’s Dominic Fike in his very chill sleeveless shirt and cargo pants getup, casually strumming on the old guitar.
Watch his performance of “Why” from the first weekend to see another version of this outfit.
9. Travis Barker, Mark Hoppus, and Tom DeLonge of Blink-182 reunited on the main stage in their simple but iconic pop-punk styles that defined a generation.
Blink-182 saved the day as weekend two headliners for Sunday after Frank Ocean dropped out following an ankle injury.
10. Australian rapper/singer The Kid Laroi stepped out with a new look as he took on the massive Sahara tent as one of Coachella’s youngest performers.
He delivered an emotional performance, including his newest song, “Where Does Your Spirit Go?”, a tribute to artists Juice Wrld and Saiko.
11. Here’s Lisa, Jisoo, Rosé, and Jennie of Blackpink, who super-slayed the main stage in one of their many colorfully coordinated outfits.
They made history as the first K-Pop group to headline Coachella, and they were probably the best dressed.
12. Punjabi artist and Hindi cinema star Diljit Dosanjh delivered one of the best stripped-down sets in one of the best outfits, a traditional white tehmat and kurta with Air Jordans.
Diljit also made history as the first Indian artist to perform at Coachella.
13. French-American electronic musician and YouTube star Marc Rebillet did precisely what was expected and popped out on the Coachella stage in a pure white bathrobe.
And it wasn’t long before chaos ensued and he was wearing nothing but his signature, tightly fitted undies and trashed the stage.
14. Spanish singer Rosalía and her dancers wore futuristic motorcycle outfits in connection with her latest album, Motomami.
The “Saoko” singer stole the show and a kiss when she performed with artists like Rauw during the first weekend and Tokischa during the second.
15. Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lucy Dacus of Boygenius were in full indie rock supergroup attire with matching shirts, ties, blazers, and wavy hair across their shoulders.
Both Lucy and Phoebe once opened separately for Julien on tour, and eventually, the three became friends and formed the supergroup that helped define the melancholic indie folk genre.
16. Tucker Halpern and Sophie Hawley-Weld of Sofi Tukker wore matching candy-colored Dolce and Gabbana while rocking the Outdoor stage.
Watch the musical duo perform “Swing” during weekend one in a much less colorful outfit but equally colorful performance.
17. American experimental musician and producer Yves Tumor was a beautiful enigma visually and sonically from start to finish.
Watch their performance of “Heaven Surround Us Like a Hood” during weekend one in a similar classic rock–inspired ensemble.
18. American rapper and singer Doechii is relatively new to the festival game, but her golden style and flawless dance moves are legendary.
Watch the “Yucky Blucky Fruitcake” singer eat up the main stage with her dancers during weekend one.
19. Debbie Harry of the 1970s rock band Blondie never went out of style, dressed in a shimmering outfit covered in actual hearts of glass.
Debbie was pure rock and roll, performing all her greatest hits, including “Rapture” with special guest Niles Rodgers.
20. And finally, California singer and actor Becky G paid homage to her Mexican heritage with her hot pink style and Selena-inspired dance moves.
Watch her perform her classic hit “Shower” in a similar dazzling blue outfit.
