Serena Williams & Alexis Ohanian recently enjoyed each other’s company, but the retired tennis star had other plans!
Like always, the perfect couple decided to express their love for one another and set the bar high for the rest of us. On that note, the lovebirds decided to watch an NBA game; however, the Reddit co-founder gave fans an insight into how the sporty date night went with his wife.

The 40-year-old American entrepreneur took to his Instagram account to recount his recent date night and 40th birthday celebration. The two commemorated the special day by watching the thrilling game between the Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks from a private suite at Kaseya Center.
The doting husband teased his wife for dozing off in the middle of the match by posting a picture of her sleeping. In the photo, Ohanian donned a brown jacket over a black polo shirt with a black baseball hat. Williams, who slept on her husband’s shoulder, is seen rocking a multi-colored sweater with long brown hair.
He captioned the picture, “Mom & Dad night out,” and within minutes, fans of the couple flooded the comments with varying remarks. One fan noted, “It’s perfectly okay – the main thing is you’re together. ❤️❤️.”
Another fan penned, “Awe, her moment of peace on your shoulder ❤❤️.” A third fan gushed, “You two are adorable.” Another follower quipped, “Mom and Dad Light Out: The Sequel.” A fifth commentator advised that he “nudge her if she began to snore.” “Mr.and Mrs.Ohanian: simply priceless ❤️,” a sixth fan wrote.
Since sweethearts are undoubtedly the godsend example of a perfect couple, it is only fitting to reminisce on their long-lasting love story. Reportedly, the tennis superstar and the internet investor met for the first time in May 2015.
The pair sat next to each other next to each other during breakfast at the Cavalieri Hotel in Rome. That same month, the lovers went on their first date traveling around Paris when the 40-year-old honored Williams’ invitation to come to watch her play at the 2015 French Open, the second leg of the Grand Slam circuit.
A year later, on Dec. 10, 2016, the Armenia native popped the big question to the 41-year-old at the same spot they first met. Weeks later, the twenty-three Grand Slam singles winner broke the news of her engagement with a poem on Reddit. She wrote:
“I came home. A little late. Someone had a bag packed for me. And a carriage waited. Destination: Rome. To escort me to my very own ‘charming.’ Back to where our stars first collided. And now it was full circle. At the same table, we first met by chance. But by choice. Down on knee. He said 4 words. And I said yes.”
Williams and Ohanian expanded their family by welcoming daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. together on Sept. 1, 2017. Shortly after, the lovebirds tied the knot at the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans in front of a slew of celebrity guests, including Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian, Eva Longoria and husband José Bastón, and fellow tennis star Caroline Wozniacki.
Alexis Ohanian Lauds His Wife With Praises Amid Retirement News
You can always count on the Y Combinator partner to shower his hardworking wife of nearly five years with praises when needed. One example was when he joined several fans and celebrities worldwide to celebrate her achievements after she emotionally announced her retirement last year.
Per The Blast, the internet entrepreneur shared two snapshots on his Instagram; one showed himself and his daughter, Olympia, while the second was a shot of a fan raising a yellow placard with “QUEEN” printed on it.
He began his caption by raving about the multi-hyphenated athlete’s global influence over the “last seven years” and how much love his wife receives worldwide. He then wrote, “Plenty of folks have told me “how Reddit changed their life,” but the scale & impact of “how Serena changed my life” stories dwarf it.”
The loving husband further mentioned that the anecdotes of his wife’s impact on numerous strangers made him wonder how far her ability had reached. Finally, he praised Willams for being down to earth about the “breadth and depth” of her influence.
