Although, a little over a week ago, Iggy Azalea did not know how to feel about her son Onyx’s third birthday, she shared her thoughts.

The Australian rapper, whose real name is Amethyst Amelia Kelly, gave birth to Onyx Carter in April 2020 and usually prefers to keep him off her social media. But for the special occasion, she decided to break her tradition of privacy and share heartwarming photos of the duo.

Taking to her Instagram story, the “Black Widow” songstress posted a picture that showed her sitting on the edge of a chair while holding on to the toddler. The star looked casually in a black ensemble of a fitted shirt and sweatpants with a colorful print on the side.

He looked happy as he played with a string while looking at something away from the camera. The background was decorated with colored balloons, including one that spelled his name.

Across the image, the proud mother wrote, “Happy 3rd birthday ONYX! I remember a time when I first began swimming barefoot and empty-handed. Now you are my only shoreline.”

The following slide showed the youngster lying in a red and yellow bouncy castle, smiling sweetly at the camera. Dressed in a black shirt over yellow pants and white socks, his beautiful mixed-colored curly afro grabbed attention.

The third image saw the mother-son duo sitting together while she held him close to her. In the last slide, the celebrant flashed two peace signs shyly at the lens pointed at him.
