Olivia Dunne is officially a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model!

The LSU gymnast went on Instagram and made a special announcement regarding her new title.

A Dream Come True

On Thursday, Dunne reposted SI Swimsuit Magazine’s video on her Stories, which was about her becoming their latest recruit.

The 20-year-old added a note in the clip, writing, “@si_swimsuit thank you for making my dreams come true?”

Dunne said in a video, “Being a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model is a dream come true,” adding, “There’s a lot of young girls who look up to me, and I feel like a lot of young girls also follow Sports Illustrated. So, both of our brands, I think, align because we both want to inspire the younger generation.”

An ‘Inspiration’ To Many

SI Swimsuit magazine captioned the post, “Livvy Dunne, LSU gymnast, NCAA’s highest-earning female athlete, social media sensation and our newest SI Swimsuit 2023 model is officially joining the pages of this year’s issue! ? Livvy is an absolute inspiration for other female athletes around the world and we couldn’t be more excited to feature her.”

They added, “In January, @livvydunne traveled to Puerto Rico for her first SI Swimsuit shoot with photographer Ben Watts where we not only captured some absolutely epic images but we also chatted with her about her journey in the spotlight thus far. Olivia Dunne Is ‘Winning’

SI Swimsuit editor-in-chief MJ Day also made a statement about Dunne.

“Livvy is harnessing this newfound power and turning it into a long-term, sustainable brand, growing the sport of collegiate gymnastics and setting an example for athletes of the future of what they are also capable of accomplishing outside of the competitive arena. In a world where women are constantly being forced to pick a lane, Livvy is in all of them, winning. We couldn’t be more excited to feature her on the pages of our 2023 issue,” she said.

Dropping Some BTS

Dunne, who’s very proud of her big accomplishment, shared some pictures from behind-the-scenes.

An image, which was initially posted by the photographer, showed the gymnast wearing a black bikini and getting her long blond locks ready for the shoot.

Another photo saw Dunne in a black one-piece with cutouts while standing on the sand and posing for the camera.

Becoming A Millionaire

When the NCAA rules were changed in June 2021, with college athletes allowed to profit off their image and name, Dunne signed up with a talent agency WME Sports. She also landed a sponsorship deal with an activewear brand, as reported by The Sun.

“I just want to be a role model to young girls,” Dunne, who became a millionaire at 18, told New York Post. “I want to set a good example, and I want to send out a message that we’re more than just our sport. That’s very important to me.”
