Model Emily Faye Miller has officially launched her partnership with SHEIN!
The season 2 contestant on the hit Netflix reality series “Too Hot To Handle” has finally launched her collaboration with the fast fashion brand SHEIN on April 28! Although some fans are eager to shop her swimwear line and support her career, other followers are disappointed that the self-proclaimed animal lover is working with SHEIN.
Fans Love Emily Faye Miller’s New Bikini Line… But Not Her Partnership With SHEIN!
In her latest Instagram post, Emily shared an almost one-minute-long video that featured her posing in a variety of bathing suit styles, including the pink bikini post that she shared in a previous post. There are several swimsuits that Emily is wearing in the video, although most of her styles are drawstring bikinis.
In the caption, Emily wrote, “We are live guys!!!” alongside two green heart emojis. She told her followers that they could use the cold “EMILY2023” for a discount and tagged @shein_gb and used the hashtag #SHEINXEmilyMiller.
Famous Friends Love Her New Line… But Most Fans Aren’t Happy About SHEIN!
Although her famous friends and “Too Hot To Handle” costars loved the collaboration, not everyone did. Many users took to the comments to call out SHEIN for poor labor practices, as well as allegations of animal cruelty and child labor.
“Girl, Shein super exploits their workers! This is not sexy,” one fan commented. “Are you aware of what this brand’s ethics are?” another follower asked. “Love you Emily but SHEIN steals from independent designers, promotes child labor, and was found to have high levels of toxic chemicals in clothing. Fast fashion needs to go!!!!!” a third fan chimed in before asking, “Why don’t you form a collab with a reputable brand?”
Many Fans Are NOT Happy With Emily’s Decision To Partner With SHEIN
“Noooo. Why Shein?” another follower asked. “This is not going to be good for you,” another fan warned. “Fast fashion and labor exploitation,” another follower commented along with a thumbs-down emoji. “You’re wonderful, but why this horrible brand?” another fan asked. “I love you girl but not SHEIN,” another follower agreed.
“Not a very good brand to be associated with,” another fan commented. “BOYCOTT SHEIN,” another follower exclaimed. “Used to love you and your heart. Very disappointed… another one lost in fame and money, I guess,” another fan shared.
Some Fans Are Actually ‘Living’ For Her Collaboration With SHEIN!
That being said, there were some fans who actually did support her collaboration with SHEIN! “It was an IMMEDIATE YES for me,” one fan commented. “Already put my order in,” another follower wrote. “Cam lucked out sheesh,” another fan chimed in. “Love love love SHEIN!!! Such a good collab,” another follower shared, prompting many replies.
“Hey, please educate yourself on Shein. Can’t be trusted if there are a thousand new products added every day,” one follower replied. “It’s probably the worst company due to child work, use of chemicals, and work conditions. Also, they steal from independent artists. Really not a brand anybody should support.”
Will Emily Even Wear Her Own Line Of SHEIN Bikinis?
Several fans didn’t actually believe that Emily would be wearing the very swimwear that she was promoting. “Girl is trying to sell us products she’d never buy herself!! Proud to say that I’ve never ordered from SHEIN and never really shopped at Primark,” one fan commented. “SHEIN could ruin your image. Fast fashion and exploitation,” another follower pointed out.
“I really didn’t expect you to work with this brand… such a shame,” another fan shared. “How do you feel making money from a company that exploits child labor. And you support animals, pathetic. Anything for money I guess,” another follower commented, which was met with replies like “Yep 100%” and “I agree.”
Plenty of fans were also asking what her boyfriend, Cam Holmes, thought about her partnering with SHEIN. The two met in the villa during season 2 of “Too Hot To Handle” and celebrated their two-year anniversary in Paris last December!
