Singer Cher and her boyfriend, Alexander’ A.E.’ Edwards, have said their goodbyes to their once-fairytale affair.
Ardent fans of the lovers would recall that the pair met and started their love story last year, and almost six months into the affair, the music executive seemingly popped the question. However, the love chapter between the Oscar winner and the music producer has reportedly ended.
Cher And Boyfriend Alexander’ A.E.’ End Their Romantic Affair
According to TMZ, the couple ended their love affair after more than six months of dating. An insider close to the former couple confirmed to the news outlet that the pair pulled the plug on their affair weeks ago. However, the reason for the split wasn’t stated.
The source shared that the former lovers were never even engaged to be married, despite a massive diamond ring she was given last Christmas. According to the insider, the twosome decided to go with the speculation that it was an engagement ring.
Possible confirmation about the twosome’s separation is that the “You Better Sit Down Kids” singer, who is one to flaunt her beau, hasn’t done that in a while. Cher last showed off her man on social media in March. The Instagram post showed the former partners at a fashion event, sitting side by side.
The “Half-Breed” singer looked stunning in a blue ensemble, while her man rocked a black outfit. In another snap, the lovebirds locked hands, subtly flaunting their romance.
As for the engagement speculation, the “Take Me Home” singer sparked rumors when she posted a picture of a massive engagement ring on her Instagram. From the lovely gem and the post’s caption that read, fans believed that the singer was about to get hitched. The caption read, “THERE R NO WORDS, ALEXANDER, A.E.,”
Of course, several followers were stunned and questioned the singer’s hints. One follower wrote, “Congrats, sis !!!!!! Many blessings to you !!!! Merry and happy everything !!!”
Another fan, stunned by the captivating jewel, tweeted, “Wait, wait, wait, hold uppp!! Is that a diamond ring or a ring with diamonds???? What does it meeeaaaan?????????”
There’s no denying that the duo had an intense romance. Once, while gushing about her man, the award-winning singer shared some personal information. She posted a semi-nude photo sexy of her beau. The photo showed a shirtless Edwards wearing just boxer briefs, displaying his tattoos and abs.
One of her followers questioned the 76-year-old Tv personality about her man’s features. The fan asked, “What is the best quality you admire most, A E ?” In response, Cher spilled some romantic things about their relationship. She said, “He’s Kind, Smart, Hilarious…& We [Kiss emoji] Like Teenagers.”
The Music Executive And The Singer Met Each Other’s Kids
Before the shocking news of Cher and Edwards’s separation, it appeared the two were planning a future together and even involved their kids. In March, the record producer gushed about introducing Cher to his toddler, Slash, whom he shares with his ex, Amber Rose.
The businessman recounted the beautiful experience when his toddler met with his girlfriend, saying, “You know right now I’m just focused on Slash, my son, and his brother Sebastian,” referencing Rose’s son, whom she shares with rapper Wiz Khalifa.
Similarly, Edwards also spent bonding time with Cher’s kids, Chaz Bono and Elijah Blue Allman. The 36-year-old spoke about his friendship with his girlfriend’s sons and even called them “my guys.”
While the two were still romantically linked, they revealed their plans to make music together. Cher noted she was “pretty excited” about the projects with her boyfriend. “He’s a producer and a writer, and he does everything, so I’m happy about that,” she excitedly declared in an interview.
During their relationship, the lovebirds received several criticisms from the public, specifically for the age gap. Regardless, the singer wasn’t fazed by the critics. A source previously talked about Cher’s commitment to the relationship.
The source said, “Cher knows full well that there’s a lot of skepticism about this romance, but she couldn’t care less.” The insider further shared that the 76-year-old had “something extraordinary going on” with Edwards.
