This beautiful and wholesome Netflix series finally returns with Season 2, and all I can say is, thank god. The next season of Heartstopper will follow Nick (Kit Connor) and Charlie (Joe Locke) as they begin their relationship freely out in the world, now that Nick has come out to his mom (Olivia Colman). This season is based on Volume 2 of Alice Oseman’s beloved Heartstopper graphic novels. There’s a field trip to Paris, more of Nick’s family is introduced, and much more. I cannot wait.

When it returns: Aug. 3 on Netflix

Black Mirror returns this summer, which marks the first new episodes of the show since 2019. While little is known about the actual plot of this anthology series for Season 6, creator Charlie Brooker has promised to “keep things fresh,” and it will be surprising for fans. He added that while this season will still FEEL like Black Mirror, he added that there are some “crazy swings and more variety than ever before.” You can also read all of the episodes’ descriptions here.

This award-winning series returns in June, and I’m personally counting down the days. This new season follows Carmy (Jeremy Allen White), Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), and Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) as they work tirelessly to transform The Original Beef of Chicagoland into a top-tier, must-eat-at restaurant. However, they quickly learn that opening a new restaurant is much harder than running an old one, as they deal with building permits, planning a new menu, and so much more.

When it returns: June 22 on FX on Hulu

Set in the present-day MCU, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) has learned about a clandestine invasion of Earth by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls. Joining forces with Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), Everett Ross (Martin Freeman), and Talos (Ben Mendelsohn), who has been living a good life on Earth now, this unlikely group of allies race to stop the imminent Skrull invasion and save humanity. The events of Secret Invasion will likely lead into The Marvels, which Jackson stars in alongside Brie Larson, Iman Vellani, and Teyonah Parris.

When Kitty decides to attend a school in Seoul where her mom went and where her long-distance boyfriend Dae (Minyeong Choi) attends, what ensues is an adventure of a lifetime and Kitty realizing that relationships are more complicated when your own heart is involved.

Another Jenny Han series returning this summer is The Summer I Turned Pretty. The new season is based on the second book in Han’s beloved series and will pick up after Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Belly (Lola Tung) shared a kiss on the beach at the end of the summer. Now, Belly, once again, must try to listen to her heart and figure out exactly what she wants. This book is filled with iconic moments, and if you thought the love triangle between Conrad, Belly, and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) couldn’t get any more complicated, think again.

When it returns: July 14 on Prime Video

The final season of Never Have I Ever starts streaming in June, and I’m already not ready to say goodbye to Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) and all of her bad choices. With graduation rapidly approaching, Devi and her friends have some more time to just be high schoolers, which, knowing Devi, will get her into some trouble once again. This new season picks up after Devi went to Ben’s (Jaren Lewison) house, and now her love life is complicated, once again. Plus, Michael Cimino joins the cast as another guy Devi sets her sights on.

When it returns: June 8 on Netflix

Based on the graphic novel of the same name by Gene Luen Yang, American Born Chinese follows Jin Wang (Ben Wang), a high schooler who is just struggling to balance his school and home life. However, his life changes when he meets Wei-Chen (Jim Liu), a new exchange student at school. Their two paths crossing leads Jin on a wild adventure involving the gods of Chinese mythology.

Outlander Season 7 picks up right after the harrowing events of Season 6, with Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitríona Balfe) once again separated as Claire is wrongfully convicted of murder. While Jamie races to try and help Claire, another, much bigger conflict, is about to hit home: the American Revolution. Now, Jamie, Claire, and their family are caught in the middle of the violence of an emerging nation as armies march to war and the British institutions face an armed rebellion. This season will be split into two parts, and will mark the penultimate season of the hit series. 

When it returns: June 16 on Starz

The Witcher Season 3 will mark a lot of change for the hit fantasy series, not only in terms of what happens within the story, but it’s also the final season featuring Henry Cavill as Geralt. Notably, the season will pick up with Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) dealing with the fallout of almost selling Ciri (Freya Allan) in an attempt to restore her own magic. With trusted bonds broken, our heroes have hit some of the biggest action from the books, as Geralt also breaks his vow of neutrality and realizes that his family is all he needs (and wants).

When it returns: Vol. 1 on June 29 and Vol 2. on July 27 on Netflix

One of the most talked about shows returns when And Just Like That… enters Season 2 this summer. The biggest addition to this sophomore season of the Sex and the City sequel series is John Corbett. He is officially returning as Aidan as his romance with Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) will seemingly take center stage once again. Also, Candice Bergen is back as Enid Frick, Carrie’s Vogue editor from the original series.

When it returns: June 2023 on Max

The boys are (finally) back, and I have been patiently waiting for it. Good Omens returns with new episodes this summer as the series begins to explore storylines past the original Neil Gaiman novel the show is based on. This new season will highlight the friendship between Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and Crowley (David Tennant) that has spanned literal centuries. As they try to get back into living amongst mortals in London, an unexpected messenger presents a surprising mystery for this chaotic and beloved duo.

When it returns: July 28 on Prime Video

The final season of Nancy Drew begins this May, and I, for one, am not ready to say goodbye to the Drew Crew. Season 4 picks up after the chaotic events of the Season 3 finale, with Nancy (Kennedy McMann) facing off against Temperance Hudson (Olivia Taylor Dudley). It ended with dear old Temperance leaving them with re-animating corpses in the cemetery and a curse where if Nancy acts on her feelings for Ace (Alex Saxon), all hell breaks loose. Cool. Cool. Cool. This season will pick up here with the stakes only getting bigger and bigger as we head into the series finale.

When it returns: May 31 on The CW

The last episodes of Manifest drop on Netflix this summer, and it’s finally time to see how this story wraps up. Picking up after the devastating events of Part 1, namely Zeke’s (Matt Long) sacrifice to save Cal (Ty Doran), Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh) is left to try and move on. With these final episodes, June 2, aka the death date, is rapidly approaching, and our favorite characters are running out of time to stop it and figure out how everything is truly all connected.

When it returns: June 2 on Netflix

This anthology series returns with Season 2 soon, and it’s just as wild and twisted as Season 1. Set in three different timelines surrounding the year 2000, this season explores the early friendship between Megan (Sadie Stanley), Isabella (Lexi Underwood), and Megan’s best friend Luke (Griffin Gluck). When a love triangle blossoms between the trio, more secrets and mystery are revealed that impact all of their lives going forward.

This hilarious and award-worthy comedy returns with Season 5 this summer, and it’s going to be a hell of a ride once again. This season, Nandor (Kayvan Novak) feels Guillermo (Harvey Guillén) is slipping away as he seems to be spending much more time with Laszlo (Matt Berry). Meanwhile, Laszlo’s skills as a “gentleman scientist” are put to the test as he tries to solve a mystery of the strange changes Guillermo is going through. As for Nadja (Natasia Demetriou), she tries to reconnect with her family has she suffers from the effects of a previously-undiagnosed supernatural hex. It’s got all the makings of some of the best comedy this show has delivered, and it’s a season you have to watch.

When it returns: July 13 on FX, next day on Hulu

The first of a new batch of The Walking Dead spinoff series kicks off with The Walking Dead: Dead City. Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan reprise their roles as Maggie and Negan, as the unlikely duo leave behind Georgia and Virginia for New York City. While we’ve been in this TWD universe for a while now, this is the first time our favorite characters — and new ones — will have to deal with what happened inside one of the biggest cities in the world. If Atlanta in TWD Season 1 is any indication, things are about to get more creepy and violent.

Now, Givens is enthralled in a new case with the end all being who will make it out of the City Primeval alive?!

In this upcoming new season, Joyce and Doug deal with the explosive success of Minx, which is bringing in more money, fame, and temptation than either of them know how to handle.

It’s Always Sunny returns for its epic, and just as wild as ever, Season 16 this summer. The gang is just trying to survive in 2023 — I mean, honestly, what a mood — as they yearn for the simpler past they once enjoyed. In this season, Mac (Rob McElhenney) deals with long-distance dating, Charlie (Charlie Day) takes on his long-forgotten sisters, Dee (Kaitlin Olson) fights for rent control and women’s athletics, Frank (Danny DeVito) wrestles for his gun, and Dennis (Glenn Howerton) struggles to improve his own mental health. It’s a season of change, and possibly growth, for this group, so it’s time to get ready for everything.

Now that they’re in a leadership position, they realize the extravagant lifestyle they’ve come to know, and love, comes with a heavy price.

With Love Season 2 expands this multi-generational story in such a beautiful way that, if you missed Season 1, it’s definitely worth catching up on. While Season 1 was framed around the holidays, Season 2 includes other big life events involving Lily (Emeraude Toubia) and Jorge (Mark Indelicato), two siblings who are navigating some big life changes as they rely on their equally big family to help get them through it. With romance, self-love, and looking to the future taking center stage, this feel-good show is one to watch.

Heels returns with Season 2 this summer as Jack (Stephen Amell) and Ace (Alexander Ludwig) continue to try and leave their mark on their family’s wrestling promotion in a small Georgia town. This new season picks up after a spectacular showing at the South Georgia State Fair, and the Duffy Wresting League’s popularity suddenly on the upswing. Hoping to seize this newfound popularity, Jack prepares for a possible business deal with a new streaming service with hopes of propelling them to a national stage. However, past tragedies and secrets threaten to upset everything, especially when Ace leaves Duffy behind.

When it returns: July 28 on Starz

Taking place 25 years after the original beloved British comedy, this new series follows the same band of brothers as they navigate the post-industrial city of Sheffield and the society’s crumbling healthcare, education, and employment sectors. The Full Monty will uncover what happened to these characters after they put their kit back on, exploring some of the brighter, and more desperate, moments with the group. Just like the film, the series will explore the funny world of working-class heroes, and how their lives have changed.
