‘Grace Charis noticed my viral golf moment – and other famous stars have been in touch’
Aaliyah Kikumoto didn't just capture the attention of TikTok after going viral last month.
Perhaps better known as the Masters golf girl, Aaliyah found fame when an admirer from afar uploaded a 15-second clip of her in the crowd at Augusta National. Remarkably, that was enough to catapult her to worldwide attention, with the 19-year-old Texas Tech Pom Squad star receiving marriage requests and a healthy boost to her social media followers in the aftermath of her viral moment.
It also allowed her to capitalise on a number of exciting opportunities, including following in the footsteps of her mom, a former NBA cheerleader, who is also a model. Aaliyah's swift rise to stardom didn't go unnoticed in the golf influencer community either, with one of the sport's most prominent social media names quickly taking a shine to her.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star Sport, Aaliyah gave us a taste of just who has been in touch, and what she hopes to achieve after going viral.
"It has been a fun way to get to know some amazing new people," she says, referencing the chance 15-second clip on TikTok. "Some of them I can’t comment on just yet, but I’ve been contacted by famous people in the dance, model, fashion and entertainment world.

Charis, who recently spoke to Daily Star Sport herself, is one of the most prominent golf influencers around, boasting one million followers on Instagram.
Aaliyah still has some way to go to reach those sorts of numbers but it's certainly an area she's interested in. She tells us: "I definitely want to become an influencer for sure and do great things.
"As I look at this opportunity, I’m looking to be a multi discipline influencer whether that be dance, golf, modelling, etc. I’ve got other interests as well which will be announced shortly. I’m sort of like a Swiss army knife."
The Rock Canyon High School alumni wants to use her newfound fame for good, and with parents AJ and Charles behind her, there's no telling what she could be capable of.
While the future looks exciting for Aaliyah, she's keeping her feet firmly on the ground as she goes about her normal day-to-day life.
"It has been an interesting ride, and one that I wasn’t expecting to happen in this sort of fashion. But it's something I wanted at some point – to be able to grow my brand and be a positive influence for good.
"While all this is unfolding I’m still trying to do homework, study for exams, Pom commitments. We’re still exploring opportunities but it is opening up new doors and options. It is really exciting. There should be more to follow soon."
Eagle-eyed golf fans will be keeping an eye out for Aaliyah – and the whole Kikumoto clan – at the PGA Championship this weekend.
