Andy Cohen Believes He Could Have ‘Good Threesomes’ With Anderson Cooper But They Are ‘Friends’

New throuple alert! Andy Cohen surprised fans with a lusty perspective on his longtime relationship with his best pal Anderson Cooper.

The TV personality best known as the host and executive producer of the late-night talk show “Watch What Happens Live!” has been good friends with the broadcast journalist for decades.

The dynamic duo is famous for co-hosting CNN’s annual New Year’s Eve broadcast, a program that draws viewers in with the entertainers’ witty banters and humor. However, while the pair remain friends, there is a possibility that things can get frisky between them. At least the St. Louis native did not mind.

Andy Cohen Reveals He Is Not Against Getting Intimate With Anderson Cooper Despite Their Longtime Friendship

On May 17, a snippet of Sherri Shepherd’s self-titled talk show, “Sherri,” was shared on YouTube. In the episode, the comedian was joined by Bravo’s former executive vice president of Development and Talent.

The 54-year-old recently appeared on the show to promote his latest book, “The Daddy Diaries.” However, his conversation with the host got intimate. When “The Jamie Foxx Show” actress mentioned Cohen’s interest in marriage and possibly fulfilling that dream with Cooper, the father-of-two confessed he was not opposed to the idea.

“We could have some good threesomes, me and Anderson,” the TV personality quipped, earning the audience’s approval as they cheered loudly at the idea. Unfortunately, the St. Louis native squashed the crowd’s hopes, stressing that he and the CNN broadcaster were only friends.

“Because that is what it would take because we are truly just friends. We are,” the Peabody Awards honoree explained, noting that the duo could not be romantically linked without a third party.

When Shepherd described their Bond as that of brothers, the “Radio Andy” star agreed. The TV producer said about their close relationship, “We’ve gotten so much closer over the years, and I love him to death. And it’s also so fun being part of a duo.”

Cohen confessed that he had always been a “solo act,” but he discovered the joy of having a partner thanks to Cooper. “We’ve toured the country, 50 plus cities, and obviously, we’re on New Year’s Eve every year, and we just have so much fun,” the entertainer raved.

The gush feast did not end there as “The Real Housewives” executive producer claimed he was “pleased” whenever he could make the political commentator “giggle.” Since the best pals could not end their platonic relationship for a romance, the TV personality joked about finding a “throuple situation.”Getting a lover or two might be out of the question for Cohen, as the talk show host had his hands full with two kids. Last year, the 54-year-old shared a video of one of his hilarious banters with Cooper, where the pals discussed their children.

While strolling with their kids, the “Most Talkative” author opened up about his struggles with “major mood swings and irrational temper tantrums” before asking if the Yale University graduate could relate to his parenting issues.

However, the 55-year-old noted that the St. Louis native was alone in his problems as his kids were “pretty great.” Like Cohen, Cooper welcomed two sons through surrogacy. The Emmy winner’s smooth sailing with fatherhood did not sit well with his pal, who sarcastically said:

“Oh, that’s nice. So everything’s peachy at your house? And you have a good vacation? Well, guess I’m alone then.”

Inside Anderson Cooper & Andy Cohen’s Over A Decade Friendship

Cohen’s “threesome” jokes about his best pal are not far from the truth about their longtime relationship. The pals first met in the early 1990s after mutual friends set the pair up on a blind date.

Unfortunately, the dynamic duo’s love story never had the chance to blossom as Cooper called off the date after talking to the talk-show host on the phone. Opening up about his reasons in a 2017 interview, the GLAAD Media Award recipient quipped:

“We had a phone call to set up the date, and I knew within 45 seconds I was never going on a date with Andy Cohen. He violated my cardinal rule, which is he asked me about my mom within the first minute of talking to me.”

Although Cooper was not impressed by the Bravo alum, things changed when the pair reconnected in 2000 while vacationing with the businessman Barry Diller. Following this meeting, the entertainers’ friendship blossomed into its iconic status.

From supporting each other through important life events such as the death of the CNN star’s mother and the birth of the pair’s respective children. They also did several projects together, such as going on tours and supporting their businesses.
