Stewart has made a record of being the oldest woman to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s 2023 issue. She shared the honor with three other tv personalities – Megan Fox, Kim Petras, and Brooks Nader.

For the cover shot, Stewart donned multiple outfits that showed she still had the beauty goods despite her advanced age.

In one shot, she wore a white one-piece that revealed her cleavage and matched the outfit with a cover dress that came in a shade of brown. She was also seen in a red one-piece with a plunging neckline that showed her body was still in perfect condition.

A third image was taken on the beach with the female entrepreneur wearing a tan, ruffled bikini with a large straw hat and a fourth with the TV personality in the sea wearing a silver, zip-up bathing suit and massive white sunglasses.

Speaking on being the oldest person to star on the magazine cover, Stewart shared that it was a “historic moment,” although she admitted that she “doesn’t think about age very much.”

“When I heard that I was going to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, I thought, ‘Oh, that’s pretty good, I’m going to be the oldest person, I think, ever on a cover of Sports Illustrated,'” the tv personality recalled.

She remarked that character and behavior rather than age is “the determining factor in terms of friendship or success.” She also revealed that the cover shoot was a “challenge” that she overcame.

“For me, it is a testament to good living,” Stewart noted. “I think that all of us should think about good living, successful living, and not ageing. The whole aging thing is so boring.”

How She Prepared For The Cover Shoot

As for the work she put in to make the shoot a success, Stewart revealed she did a lot of exercises and changed her diet but didn’t go on a fast.

“I didn’t starve myself, but I didn’t eat any bread or pasta for months. I went to Pilates every other day,” she shared. “I live a clean life anyway. Good diet, exercise, healthy skincare, and all of that stuff.”

While she described the entire preparation as “fun,” Stewart did admit that it felt “odd,” posing in her swimsuit in front of “all those people” before saying that things “turned out OK” in the end.

She then expressed the desire for her cover appearance to “inspire” others, suggesting that she wanted people to believe that age is not a barrier to making advances in one’s life.

Martha Stewart Says She Is Setting A ‘Good Example For Others

Recently, Stewart revealed in an interview with InStyle that it is “fantastic” that she keeps gathering attention for her excellent looks despite her advanced age.

“It’s a good example for others, actually,” Stewart said, per Fox News. “I’m a teacher. I’m trying to teach others that you can look great. There’s no reason to slump around.”

The book author also said she was getting set to show off her toned legs this summer after thoroughly engaging in Pilates workouts throughout the year.

“I love sort of baggy shorts, so I have accumulated a small collection of shorts,” Stewart stated, “I’ve been working on my legs at Pilates, and I’m going to show them off this summer.”
