Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly jokingly made a brutal dig at Britain's Got Talent host Alesha Dixon's music during the final auditions for the reality show.

The final auditions aired on ITV on Saturday (May 27) and featured a whole host of acts from young dance group Notorious, comedy singer Pablo Bloom and an aerial performance from Duo Odyssey.

First up though was five-year-old dog Mouse and their owner Michelle, 35, who told hosts Ant and Dec: "He's not your normal dog act."

"To be fair, I do that when Alesha comes on the radio," to which Ant laughed and then replied: "Maybe it's a cry for help?"

Mouse's impressive performance wowed not only the audience but the hosts and the judges too, as they all began dancing along.

As the performance finished, Simon made a joke of his own as he told Mouse's owner Michelle: "That was better than the original in my opinion," and that he nearly pressed the golden buzzer to send them all the way through to the live shows.

The judges could not get enough of the adorable pooch, with Amanda Holden asking: "If you did go forward, maybe Mouse and Alesha could perform together?"

Alesha agreed, saying: "I like a challenge."

There were further celebrations as all four judges, including newcomer and former Strictly Come Dancing star Bruno Tonioli sent Michelle and Mouse through to the next round.

As they walked off stage, Michelle and Mouse celebrated with Ant and Dec, with Dec telling them both: "That was amazing."
