‘Avatar: The Way Of Water’ And Much More Coming To Disney+ In June 2023

Disney+ is filled with a variety of content ranging from Disney animated movies such as “The Lion King” and “Moana” to live-action Originals such as “Peter Pan and Wendy.”

Every month, Disney adds even more content to its streaming service. Here is everything subscribers can look forward to next month.

June 2, 2023

“Pride From Above” will be coming to the streaming service on June 2, 2023. Disney describes this film as, “Soaring over these Pride parades, discover the historical activism, creativity, and logistical ingenuity required to pull off these pulsating technicolored festivals of hope.”

June 7, 2023

“Avatar: The Way Of Water” will be coming to the streaming service on June 7, 2023. Starring Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, and Kate Winslet, this movie was recently in theaters and broke records.

Disney describes the film as “‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ which reaches new heights and explores undiscovered depths as James Cameron returns to the world of Pandora in this emotionally packed action adventure. Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ launches the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their kids), the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure. All of this against the breathtaking backdrop of Pandora, where audiences are introduced to new Na’vi cultures and a range of exotic sea creatures that populate the majestic oceans.”

Season 2 of “America’s National Parks” will also hit Disney+ on June 7, 2023. Disney describes this series as “National Geographic takes viewers on an extraordinary venture across world-famous and lesser-known national parks to reveal the diversity and wonder of this beautiful country, from the lush valley floors of Yosemite to the constantly erupting volcanoes of Hawai’i.”

Also coming to Disney+ on June 7 is season two of “First Alaskans,” which Disney describes as “Indigenous Alaskans live on ancient lands but face a new climate of challenges.”

Subscribers to Disney+ have much to look forward to on June 9, including a new comedy-adventure, “Hailey’s On It!” and the inspiring true story of Richard Montañez, “Flamin’ Hot.”

Eight new episodes of the Disney Junior show “Pupstruction” will be hitting Disney+ on June 14, along with season two of “Last of the Giants: Wild Fish” and season five of “Miraculous Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir.”

Four episodes of season six of the popular Disney Channel series “Raven’s Home” will also be available to stream on Dsney+ beginning June 14.

Disney also announced a new special, “Assembled: The Making of Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania,” will come to the service, which Disney describes as, “Join cast and crew as they delve deep into the creation of “Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.” Combining immersive behind-the-scenes footage with candid interviews, Assembled reveals how an incredible new world was brought to the screen.”

Stan Lee, the incredible man behind the Marvel franchise, will be remembered in the new “Stan Lee” special. Disney describes it as, “Tracing his life from his upbringing in New York as Stanley Lieber to the rise of Marvel Comics, Stan Lee tells the story of Stan Lee’s life, career, and legacy using his own words and personal archival material.”

Also coming to Disney+ on June 16 is “The Villains Of Valley View” and “Pretty Freekin Scary.”

Marvel’s new series, “Secret Invasion,” will hit the streaming service beginning on June 21, and a new episode will be released every Wednesday following for the remainder of the season. Disney reports, “In Marvel Studios’ new series ‘Secret Invasion,’ set in the present day MCU, Nick Fury learns of a secret invasion of Earth by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls. Fury joins his allies, including Everett Ross, Maria Hill, and the Skrull Talos, who have made a life for themselves on Earth. Together they race against time to thwart an imminent Skrull invasion and save humanity.”

Fans can also look forward to a new documentary called “Extraordinary Birder” and new episodes of the Disney Junior show “Minnie’s Bow-Toons.”

A new movie, “World’s Best,” will be hitting Disney+ on June 23; Disney says it follows “12-year-old mathematics genius Prem Patel while navigating the tumultuous hardships of adolescence, discovers his recently deceased father was a famous rapper and immediately sets out to pursue a career for himself as a rap superstar. While his actions may appear reckless and the quickest way for him to lose everything, Prem, empowered by imaginative hip-hop music-fueled fantasies where he performs with his father, is determined to discover if hip-hop truly is in his DNA. As his father always used to say, ‘the world best never rest.'”

A new episode of “Secret Invasion” will also hit Disney+ alongside season two of “Weekend Family,” new episodes of the Disney Junior show “Alice’s Wonderland Bakery,” new episodes of “The Ghost and Molly McGee,” seasons one through eight of the hit television show “Home Improvement,” and season one of “Home in the Wild.”

Disney will also debut a new series, “Disney Gallery: Star Wars: The Mandalorian – The Making of Season 3”, which will debut its first episode on June 23.
