Johnny Depp’s ‘Ankle Is Fractured’
According to Daily Mail, Johnny Depp and his band, Hollywood Vampires, have decided to delay the American leg of their upcoming tour because he has a painful injury in his lower body.
While promoting his film, “Jeanne Du Barry,” at the Cannes Film Festival, Depp initially injured his ankle. Unfortunately, he further aggravated the injury during a tribute show for his late friend Jeff Beck.
According to a source who spoke to TMZ, the actor’s “ankle is fractured, and his medical team has instructed him not to fly for the foreseeable future.” As a result, the 59-year-old won’t be able to perform at the next three shows of Hollywood Vampires in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and New York, which were scheduled for June.

In an Instagram post on Monday, Depp and his bandmates, Alice Cooper and Joe Perry, announced the rescheduling of their first three U.S. tour dates.
The band expressed their sadness in the post, revealing that the tour dates would be postponed. “We are sad to share that the Hollywood Vampires will be rescheduling our three US tour dates this coming week,” they shared.
They added that the reason behind the decision was Depp’s ankle injury, writing, “Johnny has sustained a painful injury to his ankle following his recent appearances and has been advised by his doctor not to travel.”
The band concluded that Depp is “devastated by this turn of events, but looks forward to resting up so all four Vampires can bring their absolute best to the tour in Europe.”
Johnny Depp & Hollywood Vampires Are A Cover Band
In 2012, Depp, Cooper, and Perry joined forces to establish the band Hollywood Vampires. Their initial focus was on performing cover songs as a tribute to the rock stars of the 1970s who had passed away. Depp had previously toured with the late guitarist Jeff Beck and collaborated on an album together. Tragically, Beck passed away at the age of 78 after contracting bacterial meningitis.
During their collaboration, Depp and Beck created a collection of 13 tracks, including two original songs by Depp. The album showcased a diverse range of cover songs, encompassing iconic artists like the Beach Boys, Marvin Gaye, and John Lennon, as well as alternative rockers such as Killing Joke and The Velvet Underground.
Beck expressed in a statement reported by Billboard that playing together with Johnny reignited their youthful spirit and creativity. “We would joke about how we felt 18 again so that just became the album title too,” Beck said.
His Collaboration With Late Guitarist Jeff Beck
Inspired by their shared love for music during their teenage years, Depp and Beck decided to feature an illustration of themselves as 18-year-olds on the album cover. The artwork, skillfully drawn by Beck’s wife, Sandra, captures the essence of their youthful memories.
For Depp, collaborating with Beck was a dream come true, as he had grown up listening to Beck’s music. Calling Beck one of the true greats, Depp said, “It’s an extraordinary honor to play and write music with Jeff, one of the true greats and someone I am now privileged enough to call my brother.”
Their partnership began in 2016 when they first met, and quickly formed a strong bond. They would engage in conversations about guitars and cars, and share jokes, all while enjoying each other’s company.
As they spent time together, Beck came to appreciate Depp’s songwriting abilities. This led to Beck playing on a song called “Welcome To Bushwacker,” which appeared on Hollywood Vampires’ album “Rise” in 2019.
