A mum who didn't use a vibrator for years thinks it's really important for teenagers to learn what turns them on.

Lou Featherstone, 52, has captured the attention of people from all walks of life with her bright, creative, bold and passionate approach to life as a fifty-something.

Her no nonsense attitude to the menopause, getting older and her story of becoming an "accidental influencer" has left people wanting to know a lot more about her.

Lou has faced hardships in her life – from dealing with debt, a shopping addiction, a painful divorce, bereavement and experiencing perimenopause.

After spending years in a sexless marriage, she now she uses her platform to champion self-love in a very unique way.

Lou is on a quest to form a "positivity rebellion" – and is taking the nation by storm with her positive attitude towards ageing and women being able to explore their sexual sides to the max.

    Previously, Lou revealed she was in a sexless marriage before she eventually got divorced and started afresh.

    She came to realise she was in a very different place to her then-hubby – even though they had been in a "good" marriage for the best part of 20 years.

    The mum said he didn't do anything wrong, but the marriage came to an end when she was in her 40s.

    "I hadn't masturbated for years and years," she added.

    "I was very happy in my marriage – we just didn't have much sex."

    Now Lou is living a very different life – and her Instagram shows it in abundance.

    From vibrators to saucy pictures, the mum is bold, brave and very open about everything when it comes to talking sex.

    She's living proof age is just a number – and that experience makes us more rounded people.

    "Women just get better with age," she continued.

    "We are so used to change – we have a period every month for God's sake.

    "We change careers, we have kids.

    "We learn more about ourselves and become experienced.

    "My Instagram is very open.

    "One day I could be on a mountain with no clothes on, another day I'm crying. It's reality."
