Sunday Brunch descends into chaos as two stars missing from show amid ‘fire risk’
Sunday Brunch was left in chaos this weekend (July 2) as two major stars were missing – leaving the kitchen at risk of “catching on fire”.
The Channel 4 show kicked off with regular presenter Tim Lovejoy joined by co-star Miquita Oliver, as Simon Rimmer was nowhere to be seen.
Also absent from the set was chef Georgina Hayden, who was supposed to be filling in for Simon on the cooking front.

Miquita confirmed Georgina had suffered a “family emergency” and had to leave at the last minute, leaving inexperienced chef Tim to cook her lentil salad and celebration cake.

One frantic fan posted: “Good gosh Tim is having to cook today in Simon’s absence. What can possibly go wrong?” alongside a GIF of a hob on fire.

“Tim Lovejoy ruining Sunday Brunch [laughing emoji], not seen many worse in the kitchen!”
However, other fans were supportive of Tim’s new career path as one gushed: “Fair play to Sunday Brunch team and obviously [Tim]. Missing Simon, one of the chefs has an emergency, which leaves Tim with cooking duties. He’ll smash it.”

“Love Tim Lovejoy cooking for Simon Rimmer haha, he is doing a great job so far,” somebody else said.
While another teased: “Well done Tim, cracking job there. Simon will be out of a job soon!”
Tim left viewers – and his co-stars – baffled as he pulled on a pair of latex gloves to chop food, with Robert Rinder telling him: “You look like you’re about to commit a murder.”
