The Philadelphia Eagles are a rumored destination for top running back prospect Bijan Robinson in next week’s NFL draft. But star wide receiver A.J. Brown seems to have another running back in mind to help fill that vacancy on the roster.

His former Titans teammate Derrick Henry.

Nobody has #22. Make it happen if it’s possible

No. 22, which is worn by Henry in Tennessee, is definitely available in Philadelphia following the offseason departure Marcus Epps in free agency, and the Eagles have a need for a running back after Miles Sanders joined the Carolina Panthers.

The Titans have completely re-tooled their roster this season and seem to be on the verge of a rebuild following a disappointing 2022 season that saw them blow a huge lead in the AFC South and miss the playoffs.

There has been no indication that Henry is on the trade block outside of some unfounded speculation, but it would make a ton of sense if the Titans opted to go in that direction.

They are not likely to compete this season for the top spot in the AFC, and they would have little use for a veteran running back that is probably closer to the end of his career than the beginning of it.

Henry would also have more use to a team like Philadelphia that still has a loaded roster and simply needs a running back to help bring everything together on offense.

The Eagles already boosted their offense a year ago in a trade with the Titans in getting Brown for a first-round pick, and he wants to see them do that again to bring in his former teammate. It probably would not cost a first-round pick this time around, either.
