West Ham forward Danny Ings has a new look ahead of the Premier League's return.

The England international recently revealed he underwent a hair transplant following the conclusion of last season, one which cost him in the region of £17,000.

Ings was pictured in pre-season training sporting a buzzcut after undergoing treatment at the Mayfair Hair Clinic. The clinic's minimum hair surgery fee starts at £12,000, and can reach over the £17,000 mark.

The 30-year-old has even been snapped smiling just after his surgery with a doctor called 'Dr D'. In the picture, Ings is smiling, shaking Dr D's hand whilst still having bandages and dressing on the side of his head post surgery.

Clearly, the Premier League striker was delighted with the results, with a testimonial from Ings on the Mayfair Hair Clinic's website reading: "A colleague recommended Mayfair Hair Clinic and they have exceeded my expectations – a level about the rest!"

And upon his return to pre-season training, Ings has also been snapped in the gym as he looks to build up his fitness ahead of the long season the Hammers have coming.

After winning the Europa Conference League last term, West Ham qualified for the Europa League, meaning they will have European football to enjoy for the third season on the bounce.

It may not be the first time Ings has had a surgery on his barnet, with fans previously speculating that he had a transplant during his Burnley days.

Of course, Ings isn't the only Premier League footballer to have undergone a hair transplant either.

Arsenal defender Rob Holding has been on the end of plenty of jokes from his fellow team-mates after he got his hair done.

Back in 2011, then Manchester United ace Wayne Rooney also underwent a hair transplant.

He even tweeted about the procedure, writing: "Just to confirm to all my followers I have had a hair transplant. I was going bald at 25 why not. I'm delighted with the result."
