Britney Spears Recreates Iconic 2003 Kiss With Madonna At Her Wedding
Singer Britney Spears and Madonna are longtime friends.
The two previously collaborated on their 2003 hit single “Me Against the Music.” Almost two decades later, the two are still closer than ever.
On Thursday, the “Womanizer” singer finally tied the knot with Sam Asghari. She had been calling him her husband in Instagram posts for months now, leading to speculation that they had already tied the knot. The two first met on the set of her “Slumber Party” music video in 2016 and have been dating ever since. Sam popped the question last September and Britney enthusiastically said yes!
But Britney ended up locking lips with Madonna during the star-studded event… see the pics below!

In 2003, the two pop icons drove fans crazy when they shared a kiss at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards alongside Christina Aguilera. On Thursday night, they decided to recreate their iconic kiss during the reception.
Britney, 40, can be seen sporting a short red minidress while Madonna, 63, was dressed in a rainbow frock.

Back in 2003, the “Gimme More” singer told CNN that “I’ve never kissed a woman before,” adding, “I didn’t know it was going to be that long and everything.”
When asked if she would share another open-mouth kiss again, she said, “No, I would not do it,” before clarifying, “Maybe with Madonna.”

In July 2018, the “Oops!… I Did It Again” singer poked fun at the event again during a sold-out show on her Piece of Me tour at the Radio City Hall in New York City. At the time, she said, “The last time I was on this stage, I kissed a girl… her name was Madonna.”

In addition to Madonna, other stars that attended the event were Selena Gomez, Drew Barrymore, Maria Menounos, Paris Hilton, her husband Carter Reum, and her mother Kathy Hilton, as reported by PEOPLE.
Donatella Versace, who designed Britney’s wedding dress, and her lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, were also in attendance.

A source told PEOPLE that she “cried happy tears at some moments” of the ceremony and “walked herself down the aisle.” Britney had banned her mom, dad, and sister Jamie Lynn Spears from the event, so fans had been wondering who would walk Britney down the aisle. Britney’s two teenage sons were also not in attendance at the event.
Britney reportedly changed her outfit three times during the night before the party wrapped up shortly before midnight. Britney and Sam were spotted leaving in a white Roll Royce with a “Just Married” sign hanging off the back.

One source told PEOPLE that “it ended up being the happiest night for Britney,” adding, “She wanted a fairytale wedding and she got it.”
“Britney looked stunning,” they continued, adding, “She is very excited to be married. She looks forward to a future with Sam.”

Fortunately, it looks like the wedding went off without a hitch, which is a relief to hear, considering her ex tried to crash her wedding and ended up being detained by the police!
