Dua Lipa, rocking a short polka dot dress with a leggy display, wrapped her hand around her beau’s neck. Gavras, on the other hand, wore an off-white shirt and matching denim with sneakers. He sweetly wrapped his arms around the singer’s waist. In the caption, she wrote, “Joyeux anniversaireeeee bébé 💞,” which translates to “Happy Birthday baby.”

Recall that the lovers debuted their romance on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival in May. The duo matched looks for the occasion, wearing black. The English singer brought the heat wearing a Celine dress custom-made by Hedi Slimane.

The stunning dress had details of a criss-cross open-back and one hand. The front of the gorgeous dress had an oval cut-out across Dua Lipa’s chest and mid-riff area, putting her flawless skin on display. The dress also had a thigh-high slit spotlighting her toned legs.

The singer opted to keep her accessories minimal. She wore diamond-dropping earrings with a matching bracelet. For her hairstyle, her brunette tresses was styled in a high bun with bangs framing her face. The director was also dressed to the nine, wearing a black suit.

Of course, the sweethearts stole the spotlight, displaying their love on the red carpet as they engaged in steamy PDA sessions while the cameras captured them.

For those unaware of the “New Rules” singer’s new man, Gavras, aged 42, is a French native and is passionate about filmmaking, per reports. While speaking to a news outlet, the director detailed his passion for his career.

He said, “From a very young age, I knew this was what I wanted to do. “I enjoy making long feature films, short films, music videos, and sometimes commercials.” He added, “I come from a generation raised by television, so I don’t necessarily think that films are a noble art and you can’t do something else. I think it’s good to do a bit of everything.”

Unsurprisingly, the growing movie maker comes from a family of creators. While Romain’s mother, Michèle Ray-Gavras, is a journalist and producer, his father, Costa Gavras, is an Oscar-winning director. Continuing with the family’s creative streak, Romain’s sister Julie has also made a mark for herself in the entertainment industry as a director.

Additionally, his brother Alexandre Gavras is a film producer. Romain once spoke about growing up in a creative family in an interview, “When your whole family is into cinema, you talk about it at the dinner table, and then you go see movies and talk about them. I was going to the cinema as long as I can remember myself. I grew up in a film family, so there was no other choice but to make films.”

He continued detailing the advantages of his family in the same career as him, adding,“At the same time, I didn’t want to show my dad or mom some of the earlier things I made. I just showed them to my brother. I was very shy. For quite a bit, I was shooting films on my own and showing them to my family later, when I felt more confident about stuff I was making.”

Gavras has made outstanding feats in the film world and has also directed several music videos over the years. Some of his most notable music videos include M.I.A.’s video “Bad Girls,” Kanye West’s video “No Church in the Wild,” and Jamie xx’s video “Gosh.”

Romain was previously linked with singer Rita Ora from late 2020 to early 2021. Although they didn’t go red carpet official, the duo took vacations together during their six-month relationship.
