Taylor Swift Channels Throwback Vibes As She Counts Down To ‘Speak Now (Taylor’s Version!)’

Taylor Swift is getting ready for the highly-anticipated release of “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version!)”

The third installment of Swift’s rerecordings of her first six albums was announced during one of the “Mine” singer’s Nashville stops on the ‘Era’s Tour’ in May. ‘Swifties’ have already gotten their mitts on “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)”, and “Red (Taylor’s Version.)” The former LP was originally released in 2008, and the latter would follow four years later!

Since the revelation of “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version),” the 33-year-old pop sensation has shared the back cover of the record, featuring the bands and artists she has teamed up with for the “Speak Now” vault songs. Those include longtime friend and Paramore singer Hayley Williams, and Fall Out Boy!

“Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” will be released tomorrow, July 7th, but Swift has already started the party a bit early! Read on to find out how she is commemorating the big day!

Swift’s third record famously includes a track called “Dear John” which has been famously rumored to be about Mayer, who Swift briefly dated in her late teens.

The track “Could’ve Would’ve Should’ve” from Swift’s most recent LP, “Midnights,” is thought to include a reference to their relationship in the song’s bridge.

Swift was seemingly keen to keep the song’s subject quiet back in 2010. The “Speak Now” singer addressed the concept of a ‘Dear John’ letter in a post on her website.

“The song ‘Dear John’ is sort of like the last email you would ever send to someone you used to be in a relationship with. Usually, people write this venting last email to someone and they say everything that they want to say to that person, and then they usually don’t send it. I guess by putting this song on the album I am pushing send,” she wrote, per Captial FM.

Another Swiftie-approved “Speak Now” track recently began floating around on social media in celebration of “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)”s release; Swift recently included a snippet of “Mine (Taylor’s Version)” in a recent Instagram reel! (via The Blast)

In the reel’s caption, Swift wrote, “13 days til we return Speak Now to its mother 😝”

The number 13 has long been the “Don’t You” singer’s favorite number, and it would later appear in Swift’s acknowledgment of “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” a day before the album’s release!

Swift Is Already Warming Up For ‘Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)’s Release!

In a three-second ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ Instagram story posted Thursday morning, Swift posted a video of herself showing off the ’13’ drawing on her hand.

She is all decked out in a purple dress, reminiscent of the album’s purple color scheme! She appears to also have curls in her hair, which is undoubtedly a nod to her beloved curly hairstyle she donned in the early days of her career!
