Declan Rice urged to hand in Arsenal transfer request as AFTV release ‘worst song ever’

Arsenal Fan TV have released a cringingly bad welcome video for new signing Declan Rice.

The England international was confirmed as an Arsenal player on Saturday morning, signing for the Gunners from West Ham in a deal worth £105million.

The 24-year-old had been the subject to intense interest from Mikel Arteta's side since the transfer window opened. That move was at one point jeopardised by interest from Manchester City but Arsenal have eventually landed their man, seeing off the Premier League champions.

Upon the announcement Rice inked his five-year deal at the Emirates, AFTV decided it would be the perfect time for them to drop their welcome video.

Taking to Twitter on Saturday afternoon, the fan channel posted their own version of Vanilla Ice's 'Ice Ice Baby', obviously swapping out Ice for Rice.

Dancing outside the Emirates, AFTV turned up the cringe factor, delivering a video that had football fans urging Rice to hand in a transfer request just hours after being announced as an Arsenal player.

However, there's no doubt AFTV know the outrageous levels of meme potential their Rice video will potentially have. Replying to their own initial tweet, they wrote: "We apologise in advance for the memes this will create x."

It's been an excellent couple of weeks for Arsenal fans who are on cloud nine ahead of the upcoming Premier League season.

The Gunners have already announced the signings of Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber and now Rice to bolster their ranks for another potential title charge next season.
