EasyJet is hiring cabin crew but you’ll need to meet strict requirements to apply

Many of us have dreamed of working a job that’s outside of an office and takes you to exotic locations – in fact, we even tried a day of training to find out what it takes.

Now, Brits looking to join the cabin crew can apply to be a flight attendant with easyJet – but they’ll need to meet some strict requirements to bag the training. Advertising a swathe of new jobs on Facebook, the budget airline said it was looking for cabin crew around various UK bases.

If you live near to, or are willing to be based near, London Gatwick, London Luton, Bristol, Manchester, Belfast or Amsterdam then the job could be for you. But, you’ll need to meet certain requirements such as a minimum height and size regulations.

The 2024 Gatwick advert outlines the requirements of the role – and while you won’t need any flying experience you do need customer service skills. Plus, anyone under 5ft 2in is out of the running.

    The advertisement also stated: "Tattoos are allowed, but there should be no visible tattoos on the head, face, or neck. Any tattoos that are considered offensive or inappropriate must be discreetly covered. Similarly, piercings that cannot be covered discreetly are not permitted."

    In return for your work, the job ad states that your pay will be £22,000 which increases to £24,000 after six months. But, you can earn a "generous commission" on top of this.

    Successful applicants can also get First Class training, staff travel benefits and an "attractive annual leave allowance". Generally, all of the easyJet flight attendant job adverts ask for the same requirements to be met.

    "With more than 300 aircraft servicing 154 airports over 981 routes, one thing we’re not short on is opportunity. And this role opens the door to a career full of variety, support and possibilities to quickly progress into positions such as Cabin Manager or other cabin services roles."
