Fabrizio Romano’s incredible earnings just from Twitter have been revealed – and the amount is staggering.

Romano has built his own football reporting empire on social media, with the Italian reporter boasting more than 17.3million followers on Twitter.

He’s often proved to be one of the most reliable and informed journalists in football, with his catchphrase ‘Here We Go!’ accommodating every done deal around Europe.

Romano works round the clock and his unrivalled worth ethic was epitomised as he revealed his phone screen time earlier in July, showing he was on his phone for more than 17 hours in one day.

The hectic summer transfer window sees Romano spring to life like Michael Buble at Christmas, and Saudi Arabia’s absurd spending so far has cranked up the volume on the reporter's duties.

But all the effort is certainly worth Romano’s time after it was revealed he earns an estimated $86,780 (£67,450) per month from Twitter – equating to around $1.04 million (£808,247) a year – thanks to Elon Musk's new creator ads revenue sharing.

Those figures were calculated by an App called Notus, which uses the amount of monthly interactions an account receives and converts it into money using the current advertisement revenue money on the site.

And Romano’s position as football’s leading Twitter reporter sees him accumulate enormous amounts of likes, retweets, comments and views across almost every post.

Romano’s current pinned tweet on Twitter is from Wednesday when he reported Manchester United had sent their opening proposal to Atalanta for striker Rasmus Hojlund. That tweet on Thursday was on 94.6k likes and 9.5m views.

While his tweet from Thursday claiming Arsenal aren’t looking to sign Romeo Lavia, clocked up 16.3k likes and over 1m views in its first hour of being posted.

Romano, like many others, are thriving from Elon Musk’s control of Twitter which has seen creators and influencers receive a higher share of ad revenue from their posts.
