Regina King Makes First Public Appearance Since Son Ian’s Death in January
Regina King is stepping out in public again, almost six months after the devastating loss of her son Ian Alexander Jr.
The Oscar-winning actress was previously scheduled to attend the Met Gala last month as one of the event’s co-chairs, but she didn’t end up attending.
Regina wore a two-piece white outfit while walking the red carpet on Friday (June 10) for the Filming Italy Festival’s awards ceremony in Santa Margherita di Pula, Italy.
During the awards ceremony, Regina was presented with the Women Power Award. Also receiving awards at the event were Naomie Harris and Edgar Ramirez. They all joined festival president Tiziana Rocca and French actress Emmanuelle Seigner.
Ian passed away back in January and Regina released a statement at the time.
