Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz face-off erupts as punches are launched in ugly brawl

Jake Paul and Nate Diaz's final press conference descended into chaos as a brawl broke out between their teams.

YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul and UFC legend Diaz sat down to answer questions one last time before they step in the ring for their eight-round bout on Saturday (August 5) in Dallas, Texas.

They then had a face-off on stage where they remained a good distance apart. After exchanging some words Diaz's attention turned to Paul's manager Nakisa Bidarian, who was stood in the middle of them.

He was ushered away but one of his entourage stayed stood in front of Bidarian. That angered a member of Paul's security, who pushed the man away.

And from there all hell broke loose, with further pushing soon escalating into punches being thrown from the Diaz team. "That's what we don't want to see," DAZN's commentator exclaimed.

Reacting afterwards, Paul said: "S*** popped off, Nate's team started throwing punches at my security guards. My security guards dropped his team and it's just a little warm up for what's going to happen Saturday night."

Paul, 26, is gearing up for his eighth professional fight and looking to bounce back from his first loss, which came against Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia in February.

Diaz, meanwhile, is making his boxing bow after a near 20-year long career in MMA. The 38-year-old finished up with the UFC last year with a victory against Tony Ferguson, taking his record to 22-13-0.

Paul has repeatedly complained about his opponent's lack of promotion for their fight. Diaz walked out of the sit-down interview with Ariel Helwani before it had even got going on Wednesday (August 2).
