Shannen Doherty Divorce Battle Rages On Amid Fight For Her Life With Brain Cancer
Shannen Doherty continues to battle her ex-husband, Kurt Iswarienko, in divorce court while continuing the fight of her life with brain cancer.

As we reported, the actress wanted out of her marriage to Iswarienko and filed the necessary paperwork to do so back in April. In a statement, the Beverly Hills 90210 alum alleges via her rep that “Divorce is the last thing” she wanted to do at this time.
“Unfortunately, she felt she was left with no other option.” She alleges that her husband and his agent were “intimately involved.” In the divorce filing, she listed the month of separation as January and cited “irreconcilable differences” as a reason for the split.
Shortly after the news broke, Doherty took to Instagram and wrote something that many believe is about the shocking divorce. “The only people who deserve to be in your life are the ones who treat you with love, kindness, and total respect,” she said.
Kurt Iswarienko Files His Own Papers In The Divorce, Despite Cancer Battle
We’ve obtained a copy of Iswarienko’s response to the divorce, and the cameraman lists the date of marriage as October 15, 2011, making it 11 years of marriage for the couple. He did not list the date of separation like Doherty did in her paperwork.
Child support isn’t an issue because the two never had children, but he did tick off the box that yes to attorney fees and costs to be split by the former couple.
Ahead of tying the knot for the third time, Doherty spoke about how serious she was taking this marriage. “Marriage to me is such a gigantic commitment that it’s not something I’d ever go into lightly anymore. I’ve learned my lesson.”
Shannen Doherty Reveals She Is Battling Brain Cancer
The stunning part of the continuing divorce battle is that she is currently battling stage 4 brain cancer. She initially fought the disease in 2015 and beat it revealing two years later that she was in remission.
Unfortunately, in the middle of the pandemic, Shannen revealed the cancer had returned and it had moved to her brain. At the time, Iswarienko was by her side. She wrote, “My husband says that you would never know that I have cancer, I never really complain. I don’t really talk about it. It’s part of life at this point.”
The actress has been documenting the process, including a scary procedure to map the brain for cancer cells.
This whole scenario is just heartbreaking, and it’s unclear if the divorce will ever take a back seat.
Shannen Doherty Has Suffered Through Divorce In The Past
The actress is no stranger to walking down the aisle, getting married twice but very briefly. She married Ashley Hamilton from 1993 to 1994. He is the son of George Hamilton and had the looks to prove it! This marriage shocked Hollywood at the time because he was also in the business. Next up, she married Rick Salomon from 2002 to 2003.
Salomon was a bad boy in Hollywood and was married 4 times, including two different times to Pamela Anderson. His first wife was E.G. Daily who voiced Tommy Pickles on Rugrats and many, many more.
At this point, Shannen’s divorce battle rages on — but, it just seems like it is really bad timing.
