The ‘Most career strikeouts for every MLB franchise’ quiz

Another day, another feat only accomplished by Shohei Ohtani and Babe Ruth.

On Wednesday, in a matchup against the St. Louis Cardinals, Ohtani struck out a career-high 13 batters and, in doing so, joined the Great Bambino as the only players in league history to have 100 home runs and 500 strikeouts in their careers. What else can be said about Ohtani and all his myriad accomplishments at this point? Even better for fans of the Halos, the team is winning, giving hope that they may finally see the 28-year-old MVP in the postseason for the first time in his MLB career. Given how he performed in the World Baseball Classic, it’s abundantly clear that Ohtani is made for the biggest of stages. Now, the Angels faithful just have to hope that the front office does enough over the next five months to take the team to the promised land. Stay tuned.

Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. Despite his jaw-dropping numbers, Ohtani will have to stick around in Anaheim for some time if he hopes to become the franchise’s all-time leader in strikeouts. So with that in mind, how many of the players with the most career Ks for every MLB franchise can you name in five minutes?

Good luck!
