With the weather this summer being quite questionable, it's normal for Brits wanting to cheer themselves up.

And there's nothing more cheerful than the festive period.

Now one woman revealed how she begins decorating her home with Christmas lights to bring festive cheer.

Hannah Bartlett, 43, is always in the Christmas spirit and usually starts jazzing up her home from August.

It comes as Festive Lights noticed there have been over 73,000 Google searches for "Christmas decorations".

Not everyone can agree on putting their decorations up so early, but it'll never stop Hannah from doing it.

    Sharing advice, she added: "You should also be careful if you're buying your Christmas tree more than a month in advance as you do run the risk of tree branches drooping and falling off.

    "We usually recommend putting your tree up in late November, especially if you're using a real tree as they usually only last four weeks.

    "With lights and other decorations, don't be afraid to bring them out a little early if you need some festive cheer!"
