Inside Britney Spears and Sam Asghari’s prenup – net worth, assets and home
Pop star Britney Spears and her husband Sam Asghari are getting divorced and have a hefty prenup to protect their assets.
TMZ claims that Sam filed the paperwork to split on Wednesday (August 16) and cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their divorce, with their official split date listed as July 28.
The Hit Me Baby One More Time has ensured that her $60million (£47m) fortune is well protected and Sam won't be taking much away from the marriage.

According to US Weekly, the prenup states that Sam is entitled to '$1million per every two years' of their marriage, with a cap at $10m (£7.8m) after 15 years.
However, given that the pair have only been married for a year it is unclear how much Sam will receive in the divorce.

It has not been made clear whether Sam is entitled to any of the money that the pop star made after they tied the knot.
Britney's soon-to-be-ex-husband is reportedly unhappy with the agreement and a source claimed that Sam Asghari is “attempting to negotiate concessions beyond his prenup and threatening to go public with extraordinarily embarrassing information about Britney unless he gets paid".
According to Page Six, it is unclear how much the actor wants from Britney, or whether the current prenup permits disclosures of negative information.
But according to a different insider who spoke to the outlet “any money she made before the wedding is protected".
Britney and Sam have been in a relationship since 2017 and the pair met on the set of the Slumber Party music video in 2016 after a four-year romance they were engaged by September 2021.
The pop star’s wish to marry Sam was just one of the factors she highlighted in her efforts to end her conservatorship and live independently.
On June 9, 2022, the couple was finally able to tie the knot in a sweet intimate ceremony.
Before marrying Sam, Britney had already been married twice, having divorced Kevin Federline, with whom she shares two children, Sean and Jayden, in 2007.
The Oops I did it again hitmaker was also married to childhood pal Jason Alexander for 55 hours.
