Gary Lineker ‘surprised’ himself with his X-rated reaction to Man Utd skill

Gary Lineker left fans on social media stunned with a bizarre X-rated post about Bruno Fernandes’ skill during Manchester United’s 2-0 defeat to Tottenham.

United travelled to north London on Saturday in search of a second win in as many games to start the Premier League season. Yet the Red Devils suffered a 2-0 defeat courtesy of some shambolic second-half defending, despite having had their fair share of chances in the early stages.

One moment where Erik ten Hag’s side should have taken the lead was when United captain Fernandes pulled out a stunning rabona pass from the edge of the box to find Marcus Rashford – who nodded the ball over the bar from close-range.

And Lineker was left gushing over the Portuguese international’s brilliance as he made a punny joke about just how tantalising the pass was.

The Match of the Day pundit boldly tweeted: “That rabona from Bruno was so good it gave me a b**er… which is quite something at my age.”

YouTube sensation KSI picked up on the cheeky post and replied: “You gotta be hacked,” to which Lineker responded: “Nah I just wish it was true,” along with a laughing face emoji.

A third replied: “What the hell just happened here haha! Gary wants to be cancelled!” and a fourth added: “We didn’t need to know that mate.”

Lineker enjoyed some pulse-raising career highlights himself, scoring a stunning 48 goals in 80 England appearances while picking up the Golden Boot at the 1986 World Cup. He was known for his clinical finishing during spells with Leicester, Everton, Tottenham and Barcelona.

Let's hope he's calmed himself down in time to present Match of the Day on Saturday night!
