Christina Ricci Reveals What She Thinks of Jenna Ortega as Wednesday For Tim Burton’s Netflix Series
Christina Ricci is opening up about that first look of Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, the character she first brought to life on the big screen in The Addams Family franchise.
The 42-year-old actress spoke to Variety about the upcoming Netflix series and just what she thought of Jenna taking over the role of Wednesday for it.

Turns out Christina is a fan!
“It’s super fun. I loved working with Tim [Burton]. I worked with Gwendolyn Christie, it was amazing,” Christina said, before adding that “Jenna is incredible.”
She went on, saying that she “same some of the wardrobe photos before I went [to set] so I knew [what she looked like in character] and I was like, it’s such a great modern take on Wednesday. It’s so true tonally to the heart and soul of [the original], but it’s then it’s incredibly modern and it’s great.”
Christina played Wednesday in both The Addams Family and Addams Family Values. Here’s what we know about Christina’s role in the Netflix series so far.
Over the weekend, Christina joined Melanie Lynskey, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Sophie Nelisse, Ella Purnell, Samantha Hanratty, Drew Comins, Tawny Cypress, and Juliette Lewis for Showtime’s Yellowjackets FYC event in Hollywood.
FYI: Christina wore Dolce & Gabbana. Sophie wore Saint Laurent. Jasmin wore Michael Kors Collection with Kat Maconie shoes.
