“The Spectacular Now” Is 10 Years Old, So Here’s What The Cast Looked Like Then Vs. Now

On Aug. 2, 2013, The Spectacular Now premiered in theaters. If you were an indie kid in the early 2010s, this film was everything. Based on Tim Tharp’s book of the same name, it starred Shailene Woodley and Miles Teller as teenagers experiencing an unexpected romance. Plus, the movie was written by the same guys who wrote 500 Days of Summer: Michael H. Weber and Scott Neustadter.

What’s she’s been up to since: Shailene has starred in The Fault in Our Stars, the Divergent film franchise, and The Last Letter from Your Lover among other films. She also scored an Emmy nomination for the hit miniseries Big Little Lies. Later this year, she’s starring in Dumb Money, Ferrari, and the Starz series Three Women.
