The bitter drama is over, and all Riley Keough wants is to move on from her “complicated” relationship with her grandmother, Priscilla Presley.

The relatives of the late Elvis Presley became entangled in a fiery legal battle over the icon’s Graceland estate. The multi-million-dollar property had been left in charge of Lisa Marie Presley, the King of Rock and Roll’s daughter.

However, when the “To Whom It May Concern” songstress died, her mother filed a petition disputing an amendment to her will. The change placed the deceased’s children in charge of the massive estate.

After heated back-and-forth court sessions, the “Welcome the Stranger” actress and her grandma have finally settled their differences. Although the drama caused a rift in their relationship, Keough is declaring that she had nothing but love for the matriarch.

When asked about her perceived strained connection with the “Hound Dog” singer’s wife, the actress confessed that everything went awry in her family following her mother’s death. According to Keough, “there was a lot of chaos in every aspect of our lives,” as they found it challenging to adapt.

“Everyone was in a bit of a panic to understand how we move forward, and it just took a minute to understand the details of the situation because it’s complicated,” the entertainer confessed, stressing that despite their familiar bonds, they were also business partners.

“We are a family, but there’s also a huge business side of our family. So I think that there was clarity that needed to be had,” the mother of one continued, noting that she and her loved ones finally had the understanding necessary to progress.

As for her connection to her grandmother, the 34-year-old insisted the pair had never lost the love that blossomed between them. “Things with Grandma will be happy. They’ve never not been happy,” the Santa Monica beauty declared.

“I’m trying to think of a way to answer it that’s not a 20-minute conversation,” the actress added, collecting her thoughts before addressing the difficult moments she experienced with Priscilla.

“There was a bit of upheaval, but now everything’s going to be how it was. She’s a beautiful woman, and she was a huge part of creating my grandfather’s legacy and Graceland,” the proud granddaughter claimed.

Seemingly putting herself in her grandmother’s shoes, the “Daisy Jones & the Six” star explained she was not offended by the matriarch’s fight for Graceland. “It’s very important to her. He was the love of her life,” Keough said of the 78-year-old’s attachment to her late husband’s estate.

Additionally, the Golden Globe Award reaffirmed her stance on being on good terms with Priscilla and aired her frustration against outlets spreading a different narrative. In the TV personality’s words:

“Anything that would suggest otherwise in the press makes me sad because, at the end of the day, all she wants is to love and protect Graceland and the Presley family and the legacy.”

“That’s her whole life. So it’s a big responsibility she has tried to take on. None of that stuff has really ever been a part of our relationship prior. She’s just been my grandma,” the Santa Monica native claimed.

The Gracie Award Winner Is Not Against Her Grandmother’s Burial In Graceland

Aside from their legal battle, the King of Rock and Roll’s relatives made headlines over Priscilla’s final resting place. Sources argued whether or not the Presidential Medal of Freedom honoree’s wife would be buried in Graceland like her late husband.

When asked about these conflicting reports about her grandmother’s future graveyard, Keough dismissed these stories. According to the Hollywood sensation, there was no reason why the 78-year-old would be denied a place in the multi-million-dollar estate.

“I don’t know why she wouldn’t be buried at Graceland. I don’t understand what the drama in the news was about. Yeah. If she wants to be, of course. Sharing Graceland with the world was her idea from the start,” the 34-year-old entertainer explained.

“I always had positive and beautiful memories and association with Graceland. Now, a lot of my family’s buried there, so it’s a place of great sadness at this point in my life,” Keough confessed.

The TV personality’s heartache over the massive property ended after the “Under the Bridge” actress reportedly agreed to pay her grandmother over $1 million to become the estate’s sole trustee. There was also a separate charge of $400,000 to cover Priscilla’s legal fees.
