"I didn't think not having an orgasm was a big deal but everyone else did and was so surprised so I was approached to a few years ago to potentially make a documentary but I shut it down straight away.

"But they came back last year, I was a little bit older and I was ready to actually maybe start my own journey and do a little bit of an investigation."

Biochemist and author Yewande grew up in a strict christian household and fans will watch her discuss masturbation with her mum for the first time.

She said: "The conversation with my mum was probably the most difficult part as it's uncomfortable speaking about sex with your family anyway but it's more uncomfortable when it's being recorded and being put on screen.

"I never spoke to my mum about sex but to be in my mid-20's and being like 'what do you think about masturbation?' was mortifying and I felt so uncomfortable.

"I needed to remember I was a presenter and needed to ask the important questions and be level headed when getting the response you didn't want to hear."

Yewande hopes that her documentary will help open the conversation and get people talking about orgasms.
