Tottenham sent telling email to Harry Kane as star waited to complete Bayern transfer

Tottenham reportedly banned Harry Kane from the club's training ground via email as he waited to complete his Bayern Munich transfer.

Kane's switch from the Premier League to the Bundesliga, which pocketed Spurs an initial £86million potentially rising to £100m, was hanging in the balance earlier this month.

The 30-year-old was waiting to be given the green light to fly to Germany – at which time he was told it would not be appropriate for him to see his team-mates or collect his belongings, according to The Telegraph.

That meant he didn't get to say any face-to-face goodbyes and his locker was cleared out by a member of staff with items sent on to him and his family, who were also unable to access their suite at the stadium.

"He is expected to return to the club as soon as he can to say his goodbyes. Harry and Daniel [Levy] have exchanged messages including best wishes on the birth of his son, Henry. As conveyed publicly, he is regarded fondly by all at the club and is always welcome."

Kane has hit the ground running in his first two Bundesliga outings for his new side. The England skipper already has three goals to his name as well as an assist, and will look to add to his tally when Bayern travel to face Borussia Monchengladbach this weekend – with that match live on Sky Sports at 5.30pm UK time on Saturday (September 2).
