Teen with 'world's longest hair' unrecognisable after cutting record-breaking locks,Nilanshi Patel was dubbed a "Rapunzel" lookalike due to her 6ft 6in locks – but she decided to cut her world record-breaking hair and totally transformed
Teen with ‘world’s longest hair’ unrecognisable after cutting record-breaking locks
A 'real life Rapunzel' looks so different after cutting off her record-breaking locks.
Nilanshi Patel's mane used to be 6ft 6in long, which was very difficult to maintain.
After going out her tresses since she was six years old, she won a a Guinness World Record for having the “longest hair on a teenager” at 18.

She only washed her hair once a week because it took 30 minutes to dry and an hour to brush through.
The teen then applied a homemade oil, the contents of which are a family secret, made by her mother.
In day-to-day life, the record holder had to wear her hair braided or in a bun to keep it out of the way.

And this summer, Nilanshi shared a picture of her locks on display.
She shared that she's planning to fly out to see the exhibit in the near future.
The Instagrammer said: "One of my friends recently visited California and he sent me this video from the Ripley's Believe It or Not, Hollywood, Museum.
"It's where my record-breaking longest hair is on display.
"I am feeling incredibly proud, emotional, happy, satisfied, all the feelings simultaneously.
"Millions of people visit the museum and see my hair throughout the year, but when your friend sees it and sends this to you, it gives another kind of fulfilment.
"I can't wait to visit in person soon and see my longest hair on display."
While Nilanshi no longer holds the "longest hair" title, her competitive side remains.
Recently, she's been entering beauty pageants.
And just this month, she placed as a runner up in the Miss Nation 2023 contest.
