Olivia Rodrigo Reveals Different First Draft of ‘All-American B-tch’
Olivia Rodrigo is giving fans an inside look at her songwriting process for Guts!
The 20-year-old songstress released her sophomore album on Friday (September 8), and fans are absolutely loving it.
Olivia took to Instagram to reveal the first draft of the first track on the album, “All-American B-tch.” It turns out, the song went through several variations.

“4 days since I spilled my GUTS 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮,” Olivia captioned her album-related dump.
The first photo features a page of her songwriting notebook, showing all the alternative lyrics that didn’t quite make “All-American B-tch.” The line “high as a kite” can be seen crossed out, and there’s also a different chorus line, “I made my bed and I lie in it.”
In addition, the outro wasn’t always going to be, “I’m pretty when I cry.” Before that line, “I’m fuming but I try” is crossed out.
Olivia recently addressed a common misconception about her music and who her songs are really about during an interview.
